I took it to the shop and it was an additional software glitch that needed to be upgraded or it would drain the battery.

Since I've got this car,I've driven it everyday,an it only sleep approximately 6 hours,one day it didn't drive for 14 hours and the battery died,how is that even possible.They need to put out a recall for this issue,not only my vehicle,they are other people out there facing the same complication.

The vehicle has left my wife stranded twice when it would not start due to a dead battery.

Called dealer service department, Ben told me they just found out about a software upgrade last week that is supposed to stop the battery drain.

Battery was dead today after not driving it for 1 day.

Mine is an XLE, had it for only a month and battery has died twice.

Had the vehicle for 2 weeks now, drove mostly in city and gave rest for 1 day, the car won’t start, it says smart key malfunction, I changed the key fob battery and still the same issue, felt crazy it happened on the brand new car.

The other issue it had was the design of the fuel tank, which was replaced by Toyota.

Toyota also fixed the gas tank issue which my vehicle had.

The fuel tank only fills 3&#47;4 of the way.

I have owned this car for a year and weeks after buying it learned that I could not fill the 14.5 gallon tank as there is a design failure with the gas tank sensor.

There is an issue with using the rated  gas tank capacity - it is rated at 14.5 gal,

The bad:
Don't Toyota's PR campaign fool you the gas tank design is seriously flawed and has not been fixed in the 18 months this vehicle has been on the market.

Probably, the only difference between the 2019 and 2020 defective fuel tank models is that the fuel level indicator is capable of showing a full tank

I am giving this a one star because I think it is underhanded and possibly illegal to have a known defect (gas tank&#47;performance) and sell these cars without fixing it or disclosing it.

However, they gas tank only fills up 10 gallons which is much less than the manufacture states it should fill resulting in less total mileage.

The car has road noise and Bluetooth is some issues

Car is a little noise inside, Seats are a little uncomfortable for long ride.

The road noise is pretty bad, the doors are thin to make it lighter

I don't like the noise when driving on the freeway; it's so loud, like my window or door is ajar.

I had couple of times and then it started with some kind of unusual noise.

Can hear a fair amount of road noise when driving and rattling inside, car seems on the unstable side while driving, car is advertised to have a 14.5 gallon fuel tank,

The road noise is louder than we are used to coming from a Lexus RX 350

Car feels shaky when driving it, there is loud vibration noise coming from somewhere around the dashboard, don’t get the amount of fuel in the tank your supposed to on a fill up, when filling it up the pump always clicks off automatically about a quarter tank from being full according to the fuel gauge, I looked online and have seen this has been reported and Toyota is aware

but has no fix or plans to recall, sounds like they don’t have any intention of coming up with a fix for it.

but it was showing a “key malfunction” error and telling me to press the break and turn on the car.

You need to recall these vehicles and fix problems.

Toyota's reliability and customer service leave much to be desired anymore.

of service for the claimed nonconformity at this time.

I was (sadly) happy to hear that it was dead for the service tech also and they had to jump it to get it out of the way and into the back.

Same issues as before - no dealership has an answer for this and Toyota states that they cant hear it when we record it, despite the service manager telling them that he hears it.

Toyota refuses to acknowledge the problem and the dealers and service managers are clueless and cannot fix it.

can't find lights, plug in connections almost everything.

I would absolutely buy the RAV4 XSE Hybrid again.

Really like all the safety features on this model.

I was super excited about this car so I went all out to buy the highest trim with all the options.

Perfect size and quality , good styling, very reliable, smooth and quiet ride, good road handling, safety sense features are great.

Safety features include adaptive cruise control, rear sensing of cross traffic, lane assist and blind spot sensors.

2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid

Within the first 2 days I started to hear rattling coming from the dash.

Like other Toyotas, it does have a slightly louder interior noise especially upon accleration.

BUT, less than a week after getting it home we started to hear a groaning sound coming from the front end. Turns out the new "redesign" for 2019 includes a magnetic transfer case (if I have that right.  )

Car makes horrible noise when placed in park, dealer explanation it has to do with automatic parking brake.

The pedestrian warning system noise takes some time to get used to,

The engine noise is loud, especially when accelerating.

Our RAV4 had a rattle in the center console that the dealer was unable to fixed&#47;eliminate,

Minor problems, ac vent left side quit working,  bluetooth compatibility issues (ask for new smartphone before buying) spring broke on fuel filler door, brake pedal and gas pedal close together possible to press at same time and mpg listed as 40 in town, I get 35.

(AC amplifier bad due to driver seat heater).

There are no side mirror defrosters and the dash defrost that has a vent aimed toward the side window is useless for defrosting the driver side window - it blows toward it

Also the instrument information like out side temp, is hard to read as it is small in size.

So far the only disappointments are the inside air vents could be bigger for better air flow, and they need to fix their act up re color choices and options which vary dramatically from model to model.

I am not a big fan of the exterior styling,

The main issue I have with this car is the poorly designed transmission.

The transmission shifts rough, the engine is noisy.

My new 2019 LE is good and have had for 2 months; great on the high way; 3 hr trip on road was comfortable, the speed is adequate need a little more zoom zoom to it, the engine shift of gears wasn’t that bad as some reviews indicate, didn’t notice the loud engine noise and the shifting was smooth when accelerating, using the cruise control was great and the safety messages appeared when necessary, entune not good unless u have Apple and not Android, my old RAV had more standard features, Toyota could improve that on future base models and the speed, plus my 2002 base had adjustable seat manual to go up or down not on the new one.

but the eight speed transmission is very touchy and jerky.

Major electrical  problem  ,  euro car has lot of transmission problem , Ranger Rover  very low resell value  bad  gas mileage, noise suspension expensive car part, no more england car Italy car .

At highway speeds passing is a little easier

When driving at accelerated speed (50+) the wind that you hear in the door frames is ridiculous, I took it to my dealer thinking something was wrong with my weather stripping, he confirmed that it's just that loud.

No one appears to have this issue which happens at low speed.

My 2019 RAV vehicle makes pretty loud groaning noise when turning accelerating or rolling over bumps at slow speeds.

The radio sound is hard to hear when you are on a highway.

Loved having a tuning knob on the radio which our Honda CRV lacks.

The only thing I would change is the radio system to difficult to use.

If you have an iPhone and want to plug it in for CarPlay, that's a much better experience.

I've had this car since 2019 and am glad it's a hybrid considering gas prices these days.

Drive more than 80% of time in town, during which hybrid should do better than hwy driving.

The hybrid is actually a cost effective model as it was only about &#36;800 more than AWD option (all RAV4 Hybrids are AWD) so if you want AWD spring for extra &#36;800 and get Hybrid.

Pros: 

Hybrid XSE looks good, has a lot of storage, handles very well, and has great pickup.

It not only gets great mileage (which you would expect from a  hybrid)

The 2019  RAV 4 Hybrid has been fun to drive, completely  reliable and averages about 45 MPG in warmer months, 40 MPG in the winter.

Currently this is the best and most economical compact Hybrid SUV on the market.

I love that this is a hybrid and yet a pretty big car.

This car can go offloading, is great at commuting, camping, etc.

It's drives really smooth, great pick up, amazing gas mileage (typically 40 MPG on average) and super comfortable.

It's a comfortable ride  .. it's a EXL Premium .. therefore it's loaded not as on top of the LIMITED maybe 2 more features on Limited.

It rides well, very comfortable,  decent sound system, good mileage, adaptive cruise and lane assist work well.

It's comfortable and most importantly has held up really well being hit in an accident (and has helped me avoid close calls).

Plenty of room and very comfortable seats.

Super comfortable seats, all up to date and convenient technology, and a decently solid sound system for those long road trips.

This is my 5th one, by far the best one: performance wise, above avg,  gas mileage, style is cutting edge, and more spacious interior.

So far (since Oct 2019): best 30 mpg in summer.

Run smooth great on gas mileage and I love the style of  the car.

MPG is better than stated, averages close to 42 mpg.

Ease in handling, great gas mileage (40 mpg), and the ability to remove items from the back without having to lift up helps keep my back healthy.

Its stylish, has great value, and has excellent mileage and power.

I've had two Fusions, a 2016 Eco Boost and a 2019 SE Hybrid and they were both really great cars.

I have the Titanium Hybrid it has every bell n whistle you could ask for.

The hybrid is better than gas versions because it has the extra weight,

Its a nice sized car and its a hybrid so I didn't expect a 429 cobra jet.

Getting close to 40 miles to the gallon in the hybrid has helped save me money at the gas pump.

Comfortable and good performance for the money.

I got a 2019 SEL and it is the most comfortable car I've been in that has costed less than $30,000.

Great milage between 40-60 MPG and comfortable cruising.

All of the options made everything so convenient and comfortable.

It was very plush and comfy, and the tech was great.

This car is great very comfortable awesome sound system.

Love the styling, comfortable, lots of technology and almost everything is standard.

It has great pickup, very comfortable, and lots of features such as remote start, synch with your phone, moon roof, leather interior, dual climate controls, the list goes on and on.

this car was a steal for the price given the features, fuel economy and comfort.

Car has a lot of good safety features  I feel safe when I’m driving my vehicle.

The lane assist option was nice when my 15 year old got his learners permit because it helped him know when he was traveling too far towards one side.

Aside from these annoyances, this seems to be a reliable car with some great safety features and safety ratings, and some cool tech things as well.

This car gives me great gas mileage for road trips, and it has many great features such as LED interior lights, and built in USB ports.

This car is all my current needs it has all the options my last car head plus extras I think I’m really going to enjoy driving this car.

This time I went for the Platinum, everything I wanted in features, Looks great and low maintenance on all three.

The Fusion drives better than all of them and has more standard features at lower trim levels.

If you really need to lay on the gas, you need to be in hybrid mode and let the engine kick in.

Acceleration is good not great,  merging on the highway and passing you do have to punch the engine

If you are looking for large trunk space, this is not the car for you because of the batteries

however, the space allowed to haul anything is so small.

The only drawback of the Energi model is the extremely small trunk space because of the battery taking up so much space.

Since it’s a plug in hybrid and also uses gas I have the best of both worlds.

This is our 2nd fusion, a 2013 hybrid first, now a 2019 Energi and we love it.We are averaging 31 miles electric and has every safety feature standard.The russet seats, WOW. ..

The 7 years of refinement put it at near mechanical perfection- the PHEV system reduces my gas use to 1 gal per 120 miles, and the hybrid backup without a charge gets nearly 50mpg.

We are comfortable to drive long trips as well as commuting.

It’s very economical to drive and full of safety features .

I set up Apple Car Play and it is a great feature and I can stream my music from my phone.

I compared pricing and options against the Honda Clarity and the Chevy Volt.

It's nice to be able to use electric only while staying close to home and having the option to use gas for long road trips!

The leather seats are super comfortable and even has a lumbar!

I traded my '16 MKC it is as quiet and comfortable as the Lincoln for much less and incredible fuel economy.

2019 Toyota RAV4

Real gas Mpg  (Rav -4  ) for city  mileage is 21 mile per a gallon .again again test  more then 300 times 20-21 mile is correct , factory said 28 ml is not even close, so bad gas mileage on town , on Fwy mileage are better 31 mpg per gallon , engin is quite running  smooth , better then BMW X3 - very noise and running very hot (because turbo engin - not Recommend / I  had before) bmw is very hi maintenance car , Toyota RAV4 is good and easy maintenance vehicles.

It has a bumpy ride, too noisy, slow pickup rate.

There is an occasional squeaking sound up front when turning into uneven ground.

Driving is super uncomfortable, lousy, shifts looks like has issues, no idea what is doing.

The 8 speed transmission takes a little getting used to, there's a small fault, where you can't plant your foot if the car is still rolling, It lurches forward,

but big cover-up of horrible transmission problems by the manufacture.

but this transmission issue is a bummer if you’re like me and have to sit in stop and go traffic on your commute to/from work each day.

After buying a 2019 Toyota Rav 4 XLE AWD  I regret the purchase the 2.5L engine is not matched to the new 8 speed transmission and when starting to accelerate the engine sounds like it is going to blow up until it gets going

I  new and felt the transmission issue, engine noise and road noise ,

Transmission lurches, vibration on startup, remote startup, locks never worked paint coming off near roof guards and on door seam.

After approx 8 months the steering  began making a groaning and sometimes a clunk when turning the steering wheel at slow speed like when parking.

The only issue is its need a very careful n skilled driver when in  cruising mode.and also when monouvering around shard corners at top speed.

While driving at higher speeds there is always a rattling noise on the drivers side- can’t tell if it’s the mirror or the window

After having my Rav 4 for 5 months, approx 2,000-2,500 miles started  hearing GROANING type noise when car is upshifting and downshifting at low speeds going into 3rd gear or so.

A C System could be stronger and the vents are too narrow and small.

The external temperature number is difficult to read and I cannot find how to brighten that screen.

Wasn’t a huge fan of the large screen partially blocking the windshield and visibility out the front window seemed a bit compromised at the top too because of the roof slope.

but am disappointed with the software glitches (8 malfunctions showed on the dashboard - mainly brake malfunction warnings.

After visiting the dealer today I am informed this is normal as the brake relay has recently been repositioned inside the cab and cannot be rectified, much to the mechanics and my disbelief

I was on very steep paved mountain road in Arizona held at 50 mph on very steep grade  (the noise of electric motors&#47; generators made did get louder, 3 times on very steep areas ) 
  I was also on steep paved Interstate 70 in Colorado held 70 to 80 mph without braking, only had to brake around five different times in 280 miles through Colorado when other vehicles going slow got into fast lane.

No GPS unless you have Iphone to use Iplay; when you plug in phone, it gets hot.

To use the Entune Apps you can connect your Smartphone to the car directly (plug it in the the USB data port) or via Bluetooth.

But Ford  hybrid  Maverick truck $20000  city40 mpg , Hwy 35 mpg - very strongly recommend  I’ll buy ford maverick hybrid  truck next time , very good on gas mileage compared to Tacoma  2.7 liter gas truck  - expensive truck .
