2017 Hyundai Elantra

Always trying to sell me something, from wiper blades to fuel injector cleaning, always something.

Quality was the only 4 star area because I had the windshield wiper motor burn out, clock (literally) freezes below 10F,  drivers door seam started to separate and the floor mats wore out quickly.

There was nothing left of my car in front of the windshield.

The few complaints I have are about design of the car, in specific areas:
The windshield wipers divert the water straight into the window.

tire

Excellent on everything except a little too much road noise with the 17" low profile tires that are standard on the Limited.

My only complaints are with the radio and the tire psi monitor.

but I am unable to check my tire pressure inside of the car which is what I really hoped for.

I am assuming that the noise is because of the standard 18' rims sitting on EXTREMELY low profile tires and lets be honest when you slap "Sport" on a car, you want to feel the road you are driving on.

My other car is an Audi, and this is what my Hyundai Elantra has that my Audi, costing twice as much, does not: Heated front AND rear seats, blind spot warning, rear view camera, tire pressure monitor, Infinity speaker sound system, touch-screen infotainment display, Apple AND Android play.

It is surprisingly quiet inside, except for some tire noise,

The silver lining in the interior dashboard is already cracking and peeling off, both of my front struts had to be replaced, and also had to replace the spark plugs and coils.

Just bought it used n having problems already.But getting it fixed n hopefully it will be ok, it started shaking n vibrating n engine light is on.Go Thursday to see about getting it fixed.

But on the highway, the big, boxy wagon is noisy, underpowered, and I can only manage 40 to 41 miles per gallon.

It does make some noise when it has to accelerate quickly,

however when you close all the windows and turn on eco the only noise you hear is the road.

The only small downside with the Elantra is a somewhat noisy and underpowered engine,

I had to have the paint on the front of the car around the hood repaired under warranty due to it randomly peeling about a year ago while it was barely under the cap for mileage on the warranty.

The gas mileage is major lousy. doneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerreeeeeerrreeeeeeeeeeer

It's quiet rides real well gets great mileage.

It still gets great gas mileage (40+) on the highway.

It’s comfortable, stylish and gets great gas mileage.

Body is in good condition, drives great still has low mileage , I am the only driver,clean interior passenger side and back seat interior like new

Great city driver, I averaged 30 mpgs consistently.

Great gas mileage, heated seats, room for 5 and it’s got get up an go!

Completely satisfied with the on road-driving experience, fuel mileage and the durability.

Sound system is good, and there are USB ports as well as Aux ports to plug in your music.

hybrid

The Elantra Eco will use less fuel than my big Prius V wagon on the freeways and get close enough to even the regular Prius sedan  that you will never save enough in gasoline costs to justify the higher purchase price of the hybrid.

Best fuel economy non-hybrid vehicle, quiet, comfortable, plenty of power when needed, effortless highway cruiser, smooth riding, a little jerky in first gear around town.

Plus it is better for the environment seeing as it gets better mpg (and is not a hybrid.

The car is comfortable&#47;roomy, drives smooth, easy on curves, back-up camera is so valuable and I average of normally 44-45 miles to the gallon.

It drives like a Mercedes very comfortable very good in gas fast when you need it nice safety features very safe.

This car met all my needs: a lot of miles for gallon of gas.

2018 Honda Civic

3rd year shield under cover broke and the AC BROKE too nothing is Warranted ever.

The last thing is that crazy crooked windshield wiper arm.

Windshield rattled unless I held my hand on the glass.

The interior is a bit noisy and if you don't roll up the windows during freeway driving, the noise is very loud.

but the only thing that bothers me i guess is the noise inside, but i definently like the car so just 3 to 4 star only.

There are also multiple rattles while driving.

The road noise is low and engine performance is high.

The only downside is its 18 inch wheels and thin tires brings more noise and less comfort.

2018 Honda Civic firs week tires had a problem  NEVER FIXED first year bottom shield broke.

This car is also terrible in the snow, snow tires are a must in metro detroit.

Also, five days after completing the 5000-mile check, the low tire pressures light cans on in the middle of a 250-mile trip. ugh!

Took it back to dealer after driving it for 800 miles and ask them to check tires balance because it rides like a ten year old car.!!

The Accord had served me well, and, except for oil, battery and tire changes it had not visited the shop.

Just bought the car 2 days ago unfortunately the system is not calibrated with the tire pressure.

City is 32&#47; Hwy 42.. Talk about good gas mileage.

Very good gas mileage car, and it's definitely worth buying.

Ride's smooth and gas mileage is outstanding.

It's underneath the dashboard..very awkward to plug anything in.

I had the Insight hybrid and I get almost the same mileage on this car.It rides super smooth.

Gas prices are high right now in California.

It’s comfortable drive it’s pretty and has  place for the back seats fold down that’s a good place to put things.

I love the new safety features it has , as well as the comfortable seating.

I highly recommend if you’re looking for a car with the right amount of subtlety, go-go, and space for comfort!

It's a comfortable type of car that is fun to drive.

2017 Kia Niro

I do suspect some rust buildup on the rotor because they make noise when it’s raining…

The interior design does feel a little cramped and there's some cabin noise

However, build quality isn?t the best as there are numerous rattles and squeaks that eminate from behind the rear seats.

The car has also developed an annoying rattle, the back seat bottom vibrates over broken pavement.

The Niro is quieter on the road than the C-Max, which had wind noise and fairly persistent squeaks and rattles.

but the engine noise, when it occasionally does come on at low speeds, is a bit jarring/buzzy.

but cabin is loud under hard acceleration and you do get some tire noise, likely due to tread composition of low rolling resistance Michelins.

exhaust

The second instance was due to the exhaust problem noted elsewhere, and it took forever for one of the parts to arrive.

It overheated and after inspection they said the exhaust system is malfunctioning and they can't get parts to replace it.

but wioth a car with less than 200 miles on it should you need new tires on the back end of it to make it track properly I don't think so.

I had to 
stop for a tire pressure issue.

Only downside was no spare tire so I ordered one immediately.

I didn’t need to replace the break pads

The rear brakes went bad with the first snow and the dealer refused to repair&#47;replace.

I do not love how the Niro tends to lurch a little, such as when stopping at a corner; when the brake is released, the car moves forward a bit on its own power.

I love the dynamic cruise control that slows down when u get too close to the vehicle in front of u so u don't have to brake then resume the cruise control each time.

The biggest flaw is that the MPG are really crappy for all freeway road trips.

Great gas mileage, spacious, and very quiet.

I enjoy driving my Niro because it cruises great and it gets awesome gas mileage.

The mileage is awesome— averaging about 51-52 mi a day, it’s smooth and I have to admit as a former stick driver, I love that little Sport drive that it has so I can pop on some speed when I want to!

Niro gets exceptional gas mileage avg 47, it's easy to drive (take off from a stop takes a little getting used to), and park, has ample room for riders in the back with ample leg room, the hatchback is wonderfully convenient and easily stores my bicycle, etc.

Runs great, plenty of room for a small SUV/Crossover and gets excellent fuel economy without needing a plug to rechange the batteries.

Comfortable enough for long drives, lots of ways to charge your electronics with the wireless phone charger, 2 USB ports, 2 12 volt car charger plugs and a house type plug in the back passenger area.

Good pickup for a hybrid, and a great value as well.

The kia niro comes with lots of perks for a hybrid!

The acceleration takes a little getting used to because it's hybrid, no issues with getting up to speed when entering an Interstate.

Being a hybrid the MPG is very good and exceeds my expectations.

I have never owned a hybrid vehicle before and so I am very happy with the gas mileage.

If your driving trips are shorter than 5 miles, you wont get hybrid level mileage from this car.

This is the first Hybrid I have ever owned and I am pleasantly surprised and pleased at how much I am enjoying driving this car.

Steering wheel controls for music, cruise control, dash display, navigation, hybrid activity.

The NIRO EX is a great little Hybrid SUV.

The gas usage is soo good and will save me alot of money.

It's a smooth ride, it's great on curves, and plenty comfortable.

The seats aren’t the most comfortable compared to my cloth civic seats

It has a unique design and very comfortable.

Roomy inside, comfortable and great riding.

It's comfortable for short commutes and has plenty of cargo space.

The ride is very comfortable, incredible gas mileage, not one single problem.

2018 Hyundai Elantra

Only car I’ve ever owned without a single squeak or rattle at this point of ownership.

The drive feels smooth and I can barely hear outside noise when I drive.

I love the car it rides nice handles Performs good Comfortable roomie I have friends that wanna buy it now because they like riding in it and driving it Not a fan of the generation after because of the IVT in them prefer the generation I have with a regular transmission shifts nicer and peppier

On the highway, I average low 40's and have gotten up to 50 with the car in cruise control and having the A/C off.

When it gets extremely cold out the heater stops blowing warm air and starts blowing cold air and the temp gauge drops to cold.

It is great on gas mileage and drives great.

It has fantastic fuel efficiency- I've reached 46 mpg with consistent highway driving.

This car is so fun to drive and I still get great gas mileage even as I drive with a heavy foot.

Very comfortable for 4 at any speed, or condition.

Reasonably comfortable, quiet engine and smooth in town or long trips.

Comfortable car to sit in, will get me to work and back no problem.

Has plenty of room and very comfortable  for me to drive.

Finding a roomy ride has always been a struggle and I was quite surprised to find myself a comfortable seating position in my Elantra.

I'm 5'11" my wife is 5'6" and we both feel comfortable.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox

There is very little engine or road noise.

but there is a slight rattle that we have not been able to resolve, and the engine has a high-pitched noise at times in 20-45 mph range.

After the first 4 or 5 months it developed an annoying vibration at speeds about 30 mph, felt like driving on a bumpy road at lower speeds, a vibration at freeway speeds.

Both lift gates rattle when u reach 60 mph.

The trailer hitch cover will not stay on even after it has been replaced with a new one and car has rattles that they try and fix every time we carry it in.

it's very noisy, when I driving it I hear some noises from dashboard and doors!

My only complaint is a strange noise every once in a while driving highway speeds every once in a while a fluttering sound comes from under the car ?? ?

Compared to it, the new model is noisier (wind & road noise),  noticeably smaller, not nearly as comfortable (horrible seats) and a very plain instrument panel.

Bad blindspot on passenger side looking out windshield.

Fuel system replaced, back wiper and numerous system/fuse issues.

It reflect light and makes driving with the wipers on, regretful.

I dont like the head lights  very very unsafe at night you can not see the hole road looks like some one pulled a black curtain down half way down the windshield half of windshied is black was told by Don halls chev can not fix them

Windows fog up quickly and have to change to windshield only.

Heated steering wheel n if you are too close to the car in front of you a red warning sign shows up on the windshield.

but I would avoid anything more than a rough and rutted dirt road, since the approach, break over and departure angles seem sketchy and there’s no locking differential either.

Car rolls when put in park and brakes are released forward and backwards depending on the pitch of the road car leaps off the line when  i am at red light and release the brake to engage the auto start it drives off in the forward direction unless i very quickly depress the brake pedal

Have 70000 miles on car and now broke down motor gone due to vacuum pump for brakes failing

Horrible car with roughly 40,000 miles my wife was driving it and out of nowhere she lost all breaks couldn’t stop coming to her exit, she pulled off after finally getting it to stop turned the car off and wouldn’t turn back on.

Hate the engine shutdown crap at red lights, I just pump the brakes .

I like the fact it shut off when I brake, to dave gas.

Also, who puts a rocker switch as a manual gear shifter on the transmission handle?

Just one thing, the gear shifts could be better positioned.

Have experienced so many mechanical failures that either should never have happened or shouldn’t be happening so soon in the vehicle’s life.

but after the vehicle already failed us and had to be trailered to the dealership because it died in my driveway and we could not turn the vehicle OFF.

Love it, V6 or the turbo L4 is a great combination, both give excellent band and gas mileage, my Turbo L4 has gotten 41 MPG on the highway, 25 MPG around town.

Its performance is excellent and the gas mileage is incredible.

I love the gas mileage and the caplets gas tank.

Its a nice comfortable ride with many features, and great gas mileage for an SUV.

The Chevy Equinox is comfortable and gets awesome Gas mileage.

Front passenger seat not that comfortable.

For a first SUV, it’s got a comfortable ride height and great handling.

Came out of a Jeep Wrangler and the equinox is such a smooth and comfortable ride.

but once she fixed that and was able to get the seat where I could feel comfortable!!!

There's plenty of cargo space, comfortable room in the back, good handling and quiet to drive.

This equinox is more comfortable and rides excellent on the road with lots of features much better than the 2010 equinox I used to own
