2022 Volkswagen Taos

transmission

The transmission shifts inconsistently causing either jerking of vehicle at low speeds or inadequate acceleration when needed to merge into traffic.

I would rate this vehicle at least 4 stars if the transmission did not make driving this vehicle Work and tiresome.

The DSG transmission is a very poor choice for this vehicle.

The transmission is a bit laggy from a start

but until the embarrassing 7-speed transmission gets addressed, I wouldn't recommend the Taos to someone.

The only negative comments I have is about the transmission.

but the uneven power delivery is a hazard and I would warn others to avoid the AWD version until a future time when VW either fixes this condition or uses a different transmission in the next version.

.the car violently Jerks sometimes when stop at the light when the ignition shuts off,the lane assist will randomly shut off.

I purchased this in January and at only 4000 miles has been to the dealer multiple times for stop start stalling, EPC code, check engine light and other electronic issues.

Lately, while driving, the car will flash the check engine light when it's low on gas.

To the Taos' credit, it does handle mountain passes very well, I've driven over 3 of them in Colorado so far and the Taos has performed well in that aspect, you can feel the turbo kick in as you begin to climb and it's a satisfying feeling.

It has a very comfortable ride (a little on the firmer side) and it handles very well for a CUV.

Great fuel economy, handles like a sports car and plenty of room on the in the cabin.

The handling and increased gas mileage is superior.

The Taos is very light on it's feet, responsive, good turning radius and holds the road through corners very well, surprisingly well.

but gained AWD, way more passenger space for family and friends and a more comfortable riding position for when I feel like running about.

The quiet and smooth ride of the Taos has been thoughtfully designed and engineered.

Nice balance between sportiness, efficiency, noise, & ride.

It's a very compact car, I find that the passenger seat ride is okay - I have a baby-seat in the rear that only allows for so much room in front-passenger seat

It’s a comfortable ride and easy to maneuver.

The car is beautiful on the outside and such a smooth ride.

Acceleration is not bad, better in Sport mode, ride is good, and handling surprisingly nimble.

I'm 6'6" and I fit quite comfortably inside, plenty of head, leg, and knee room!

but, you should not need to push the seat back for basic foot room.

I'm 6'4, and I have ample leg and head room.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander

noise

The sporty body kit was put on with Elmer’s glue and side skirts can fall off at highways speeds and the hood rattles so severely it looks like it may be popped

The interior is dope 👌 and despite having a few hiccups with rattling in the door panels after blarring the 9 speaker 1 sub bose system; i really enjoy the infotainment system.

The hood has a manufacturer's defect, at speeds over 60 miles or if it's windy it bounces and shakes as if it's going to fly off, Mitsubishi's offer to fix it, is by replacing the hood with a new part that has to be painted in a local body shop  this will compromise the integrity of a car, as it's not an original paint anymore and therefor devalues the car, this is considered a lemon and under the Lemon Law Mitsubishi should take the car back and fully refund the buyer.

So many electrical issues, suspension and steering noises, wind noise, hood flutter, stereo problems, cameras problems, power window problems, and Mitsubishi is unable to fix any issue, we’ve been dealing with this since August 2021.

After two three months of purchase the unit began a noise in the internal back as if it were an old car.

Another reviewer said something about the hood vibration.

Only issue we have ran into with the vehicle thus far is the rattling&#47;moving hood while on highways.

Like the previous review about the hood vibrating at high speeds, took it to the dealership and already had the rubber cushioning correcting kit to fix the issue.

Yes the hood shakes a little when driving at faster speeds

I did find it seemed to be underpowered coming off ramps to merge at highway speeds, again it's just fine in normal mode, or Sport (Tarmac).

If you don't drive at highway speeds and you live where the wind never exceeds 15 miles per hour you'll be in love with this car.

It sounds like a window is cracked open and tons of road noise.

The infotainment system would freeze and call people at random.

Would be an even more impressive vehicle if it had an AUX plug for audio devices to be hooked up to stereo system.

but there is NOTHING whatsoever "premium" about this stereo.

This car is like a space shuttle, with all the high-tech features, such as the huge touchscreen monitor on the dash, all the camera assists, drive modes, mi-pilot assist, blind spot detection and even just the way you switch it from park to drive&#47;reverse.

failure

App is unreliable,doesn't always start car, sometimes will indicate it has failed, yet car started.

but the car should be recalled, and the audio system repaired.

Mitsubishi made the interior very classy and clean, &#38; the exterior looks amazing as well, especially with the word  'outlander' written above the grill&#47; frontof hood.

It handles great, gets decent gas mileage and feels much more luxurious than the price tag, even on my SE model.

Handling, style, comfort, and safety features.

The pedal is relatively responsive and handles great for a 3500 plus pound crossover.

Comfortable, good traction, stable, quiet, handles well and affordable.

I’ve put close to 7k on my white diamond black edition outlander, runs very smooth on road handles corners like a pro.It has a very stylish look turns heads everywhere I go, and does really great on gas if you don’t let your lead foot take over.I really love this vehicle and highly recommend it.

If you don't take the wheel, it will turn off any auto "things" you may have turned on (cruise, adaptive lane control, ect) and will start decelerating (great safety feature for those who fall asleep at the wheel).

but it’s more safe on curve and look good.

The handling is good and responsive and the ride is smooth

Gas milage around 30mpg, interior is beautiful and ride is Great.

After buying the car I had to go on the road trip for work and was very happy with the 30.7 miles per gallon I got with cruise control set around 72 miles an hour on mostly flat highway.

I’m honestly very happy and I love that it doesn’t waste gas.

Keep in mind it has a very small gas tank so fill-ups will be fairly regular on long distances.

Purchased this vehicle with great gas mileage.

In these modes it does a great "giddy up go", and can accelerate impressively, with a deduction in your fuel (from the instant fuel gauge monitoring).

but great for city living with great gas mileage and really great space with all seats down.

This car is very fuel efficient, I been doing an average of 29-32 MPG which is quite similar to my last fuel efficient mirage .

I truly love this car it rides so smooth and the steering is awesome.

though the Outlander is a comfortable vehicle to drive, we drove it from Atlanta to Orlando and the ride was enjoyable.

To get everything you want on this ride, in the colors you want is a needle in a haystack.

No bad cvt transmission, almost drive like automatic transmission , big wheels filling more the ride

It rides Smoothly on the local streets and highway, new luxury updates on the outside and inside, larger than my previous 2020 Outlander, loaded with features such as kick feature trunk release, infotainment system, several drive conditions selections,  panoramic moon roof, 3rd row of seating, 360 and birds eye view cameras, so many safety features to mention.

My outlander sel drives nice and comfortable cabin with luxury very resonable price and not bad for price I recommend buying outlander did take notice hood shakes

The seats are comfortable and the controls are easy to navigate.

2022 Chevrolet Blazer

Brake system has a known problem and started to have grinding noise after 400 miles on it.

I just wanted to see if anyone else with the 2022 Blazer 2.0 Turbo have a loud engine noise at idle
sounds like some kind of metal  is rubbing to me.

This SUV is sporty and classy at the same time.

Handling is really good too and the Blazer comes with a ton of safety equipment which I think is great.

The Blazer handles well on the road, has an acceleration that keeps up with other SUV's in its class, and has a comfortable ride with plenty of room for all.

The car handles very well, am very please with the driver convenience package and the safety features.

2.0L turbo is pretty nice to drive especially with very good dynamics and handling of the car body.

Average fuel economy for me has been 19 mpg.

It's performance is really great and the mileage is 27 on the highway.

2022 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

Great for trips under 25 miles, no gas needed.

Upon further downership of the vehicle I noticed it got 1 mpg better on the highway

It handled well in snow with it's stock tires in Yellowstone, amazingly on highways in the Dakota's with downpour conditions at 50 mph (too scary to even attempt to go faster), and stuck to the road like a racecar all over the Southwestern Deserts UT, AZ, NV, and CA.

As for me, I live in a windy area and drive the 75 mph interstate every time I leave the house.

2022 Kia Stinger

Let me first mention a few minor quibbles:
  -The tuning and volume knobs on the radio are small and very delicate.

Back window view is small an could have done a little better with all

but does battle road noise at higher speeds.

Since driving it off of the sales lot it has had creaks, pops and rattles in the cabin.

-The side column is very wide and blocks vision when you actually turn your head to look to the left and back.

Everything about the car, from the look, to the ride, to the handling, to the accessories, were exactly what I was looking for,

Handling, style, performance, hiwnit turns heads.

The color and styling are beautiful;  I stand and admire it in my garage each time I come and go.

I came in to the dealership looking for another model, and the inventories were low, and I couldn't find the color I wanted.

The seats themselves are comfortable and form-fitting.

It’s comfortable, a great performer and very good looking car!

Sleek design inside and out and very comfortable to ride and drive.

My first moment in that car wowed me;  I had no idea how much fun, how powerful, how quiet, how easy it was to drive an EV.

2022 Mazda CX-5

I myself prefer a touchscreen over the knob control and it does lack a hands-free lift gate and a real remote start (hate the app-only remote start!).

I got leather seats, AWD, blind spot monitoring and cross traffic warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, heated seats, dual climate controls up front and leather wrapped steered no wheel and shifter all standard.

I believe the transmission gearing could and should be modified to accommodate the lack of horsepower, and the lack of horsepower and poor MPG experience are honestly my only complaints.

but definitly for me - Also , worth a second mention , most suvs in this catagory have CVT transmissions -  Continuously Variable Transmission -   in other words , it does not have stepped gears , its like stepping on a sponge , not crisp and they try to trick you with CVTs saying you can use it like a regular transmission -  bs &#47;.

The interior (white parchment) is very classy with plenty of accessories and features.

The interior is design and seating are sweet, the ride even and the handling are sweeter yet.

It handles beautifully and I am one of those people that hate CVT transmissions, so I love that Mazda gives you a REAL 6 speed automatic with sport mode.

The handling &#38; ride is like an even higher class vehicle.

Best and transmission is normal excellent interior is very luxury for the model, excellent quality interior and exterior, recommend for family small, motor is high performance in sport drive mode

Love the red leather interior and all the options it came with.

Comfortable with a great interior and the driving experience is great.

The styling is excellent, the interior reminds me of an Acura or a Lexus, and the car is definitely a drivers car.

Very Happy with my recent purchase of my 2022 CX5 (preferred package).

I needed a reliable car, quality features and an overall highly functional car with the best  rating.

Also I love the auto start feature that lets me warm my car up on cold mornings.

Though it’s the base version standard AWD and safety features included are top notch.

Mazda has greatly improved this model in recent years with a better, quieter ride, more comfortable seating and better performance.

Decent ride and performance for a 4 cyl, compact SUV.

2022 Ford Maverick

Fords ordering system is the worst thing I have ever seen.

When I roll four passengers deep, everyone has plenty of space for ergonomically correct natural resting positions (they don't have to contort and twist to fit for the ride), decent audio from the base factory radio, a place for their small personal belongings in the convenient door pockets, convenient cupholders for beverages, plentiful and easily accessible ports for charging their phones and tablets, and - to top it off - in-vehicle WiFi (which has excellent bandwidth in my area - only &#36;25 a month through AT

The EV sound is annoying, since they forgot to add any insulation from the factory, it's loud.

The hybrid sound is too loud,
The horn makes more noise in the cabin than it does outside.

The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange.

My first impression during the test drive was that nearly everything about it seemed well-refined for the price point except for the engine noise.

Ford needs to eliminate the small storage compartment on the right of the screen since it is useless and in my view eliminate the electrical outlet in the rear seating area to be replaced with an AC vent.

The only thing you have to move eye focus to is the touch screen radio--unless you have your phone connected and can just use CarPlay to do everything.

Like everything except the brakes, very touchy at the bottom of the pedal.

Handling is good, and the ride is very comfortable.

It has plenty of pep and handles very well.

4 can ride nicely,back seat has just enough room.

the vehicle is fun to drive the ride is smooth and the build quality seems to be very good, no squeaks or rattles.

It rides great, accelerates just fine, and has more than adequate room for 4.

the truck rides great, it's very smooth and extremely quiet.

The ride is much better than my 2019 Civic.

Solid, roomy,  great performance,  nice smooth and quiet ride for a pickup.

Enough room for a 6'1" man at 260 to enjoy driving or riding in the Maverick.

The ride us much smoother and quieter than the Tacoma it has replaced and I'm using less than half the gas.

but when I sat in one at a local car show,  I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco.

Exceeds expectations: Beautiful design, perfect size, drives fantastic, comfortable on long trips, great visibilty, and its QUIET.

but big uses, no issues at 12k, very comfortable and drives great!

The seats are very comfortable even for the large and tall.

The interior is probably the most comfortable I've enjoyed in a utility vehicle to date.

It is actually very comfortable and the interior is very functional and I can park it in my garage.

but the dealer was able to take care of them  it delivers great MPG, of 45-50, around town, 32-34 on ths open road.

Overall happy with the performance and gas mileage (34mpg).

Mileage after 7 months of driving is 22 mpg.

It is so nice to get 40 plus mpg daily and run to the hardware store and pick up a load of mulch or haul bicycles and never.

So far, I am impressed with the little truck. Fuel economy is on par with what I was getting avg in my fusion (usually 40 - 43 mpg.)

The aerodynamics of the vehicle means you blow all over the place over 70mph
Highway MPG is less than the GTI i owned and that was way better built and more fun to drive.

It’s comfortable, easy to drive,  surprisingly peppy, and I am getting 43 MPG.

Build quality it appalling,
It’s useless on a highway, you’ll need miles to gain enough speed to pass someone.

Very impressed with the mileage, as about 60% was freeway driving, and I still averaged like 44mpg!
