The base engine is more than enough in city and highway driving.

I love the handling and power of the turbo engine.

Turbo mounted in the back - behind a motor, makes future service a headache and it makes engine bay super hot.

The turbo engine makes accelerating smooth, and before you know it, you are going 90, and it feels like 60.

Acceleration ok at best given engine size.

There were much less body roll when I was twisting and turning in city streets.

Even at high speeds, this little truck eats up the curves like a more expensive luxury vehicle.

Its a six speed automatic vs 8 speed or 10 speed like most others make these day.

Very noisy at highway speeds with the 20" wheels/tires.

Overall, the CX-50 is a  stylish in/out, fun to drive SUV with most things I look for.

It was so much fun, and I was so proud of my little Mazda!

• No OE built-in navigation or maps
• No HomeLink
• No auto-folding of the side-view mirrors
• No interior opener/unlock for the hatch
• No removable cupholder inserts to facilitate cleaning
• No"bird view" camera
• The rearview camera resolution is horrible
• The glove box compartment does not lock
• The "leatherette" seating and panel accents are not real leather
• Less than stellar exterior fit-and-finish with visible gaps and some misaligned panels
• Same motor performance tuning that is in the Civic Si, resulting in the same horsepower and torque outputs
• With the car being a turbo, no option to select viewing of turbo boost PSI on either of the Driver Information Interfaces
• The "tablet sitting on top" screen would be better situated within the dash
• Very little differentiation from the Civic Si on which it is based

Nuisance:
• The metal shift knob top gets hot to the touch
• No cupholder cover
• Vanity mirror lights are not LED (all others are)
• No built-in rear window sunshades
• No auto-down/up on rear windows
• No close all windows/sunroof with remote
• Need more user customization left side area of the Driver Information Interface
• Why is there only Trip A and Trip B when processor and memory are no longer constraints?

The stock tuning of the 1.5L turbo is ideal for most drivers, and while it may not be quite as fun to rev out to the redline as the old 2.4L K engine, it’s still among the best powertrains in modern cars and has sufficient power and torque for any day to day driving.

It would have been nice for Acura to retune the engine for just a little more performance over the Civic Si to help separate it and make it easier to digest the price difference.

Ride quality and sound deadening is competitive with other cars in this segment, handling is better than most (nobody can beat Honda at FWD), and the pricing is very competitive.

2022 Subaru Outback

With my vehicle it was that the voice activation of the nav and search systems simply didn't work.

Unfortunately the infotainment screen is laggy and shuts off randomly shutting down everything except the engine,, safety systems, radio, gps, ac are all used through the laggy screen.

Infotainment can be a little touchy, wish nav used Google maps.

Electronics are consistently awful, from the (not really) voice-activated navigation to the slow, finicky touch-screen that controls nearly everything.

button is almost impossible to find&#47;use. The voice-activated navigation is unreliable - try entering a local address and the system responds "Would you like to navigate to the center of Lenox Iowa?"

Subaru driver recognition works sometimes and in a repair order they say it’s designed to fail.

The electronics are annoying, faulty and poorly designed.

The cvt transmission is awful, sucking the life out of the engine.

The Wilderness is quicker off the line, faster overall, with much smoother shifts from the revised transmission, with little body roll compromise when cornering at speed.

The CVT transmission is the worst ever - jumpy, jerky, and unable to match power requirements to transmission gearing.

This model has the turbo engine where you sacrifice gas mileage for performance especially if you live in mountain states.

The turbo engine had an outrageous amount of power making it excellent for passing cars and climbing elevation.

It accelerates better due to the turbo engine and is more comfortable inside.

The Outback Touring XT has a rough-sounding turbo engine coupled to a jerky, inconsistent CVT transmission that makes smooth starts impossible.

You can accelerate to about 20mph, at which point the cvt goes to its highest gear and bogs the engine, putting a stop to acceleration.

The engine is well positioned (horizontal boxer engine) it keeps the car grounded.

More power than my six cylinder 2019 Outback.

The 2.4 turbo engine is noisy and rough-sounding, and only smooth at highway speed.

Try going around a corner using driver assist to get a idea of how a ping pong ball feels.

The best is cars turning Radius! Awesome.

Seat heater, can't turn it on from the screen, have to hit it, open another screen and then click again.

It rides incredible and handles beautifully too.

It gives you so much confidence as you enter the curves.

Altho the cloth seats could be more comfortable, love everything else except the car shutting off at stops.

The luxury and safety of the Subaru is unmatched for the price.

you need all the safety stuff because your always looking down.

however, beyond comfort, the excellent ‘safety’ rating was impressive to each of us.

However, I dare you to find another car that offers so much standard safety features.

Great styling, safety features and lots of space for transporting gear or shopping items.

My 2022 Outback Touring with Java Brown Nappa interior is simply the best yet, with Eyesight Technology and all of the safety features, e.g., Lane Keeping, Adaptive Cruise Control & Blind Spot Monitoring etc.

Doesn’t remember what you use for phone or Bluetooth device if multiple devices are used.

Also on the base hybrid- heated seats, heated mirrors, all the safefy&#47;driving features, easy phone connectivity, power driver seat, 4 driving modes, low speed 4WD lock, automatic high beams that work great, tows small trailers with high MPG, 6 speed auto with paddle shifters.

Haven't been able to get Android Auto to work more than once, and dealer wasn't helpful in figuring out the issue.

From what I read the only real negatives should be the upgraded 10.25 touchscreen info system which will not have wireless apple Carplay&#47;Android Auto.

radio

While not having the radio, it affected Bluetooth, Siri etc.

There is this little noise coming from somewhere around the passenger side panoramic sun roof when starting forward or reverse and it sounds like something sliding back and forth in a metal channel.

People complain about the piano black trim around the center (radio and HVAC controls)
I keep a microfiber in the center console, takes literally 30 seconds to wipe off any fingerprint smudges or dust.

Wish there were a spare tire and normal control knob for the radio.

I have gone through 2 windshields due to rock chips cracking(hopefully just bad luck)

3 weeks since they "fixed" my car, it  has cutoff on me 3 times and has a hard knocking noise.

Also, the noises and beeps that the car makes are overwhelming.

At higher speeds it has more wind noise towards the rear

After vigorously stepping on the brake it started.

The auto hold feature, which allows the car to brake itself after stop without holding the brake pedal, was one I didn't think I would use.

The instant torque from the electric motor makes the car quick from a step, which is particularly noticeable in local driving.

I have had knobs that are confusing like my Mercedes cursor and engine control knobs next to each other.

Concerning engine performance, you're not going to be able to challenge a Mustang or a Camaro,

It gives the engine just a little extra power when you need it.

The engine is always switching back and forth.

After going back and forth a lot of times the service department got the light to turn off resetting everything.

but so far can handle the Wisconsin winter.

This one handles great in all weather types.

Headlights are bright and consistent, and stretch wide enough to see the sides of the road without blinding others or turning on the brights.

The rear turn indicators are low and the bumper.

It handles well, is quiet at lower speeds;( with exception of noisy backup alert).

The car felt very stable cornering (sends power to rear wheels when cornering) even fully loaded.

but would have been nice to have adaptive headlights or fog lights for better cornering at night.

Ride comfort is very good, even with the 19” rims.

I believe that this Tucson has more tech, comfort and luxury than comparable cars costing 50% more.

but this is the most comfortable car we've ever had.

The touch screen, the digital dials and the quiet ride remind me of a Mercedes in a South Korean skin, with a much lower price.

The ride it great, very smooth on these horrible Louisiana roads.

The safety features standard on the Limited are numerous and cost a extra on a lot of SUVs, even more expensive ones.

I use this feature when there’s a lot of rain as it gives me extra confidence against possible skidding.

The warranties are amazing as are the safety features and Hyundai's after sales support.

Many of the features have been great to use.

I love a lot of the features in this model.

A good idea in theory, BUT, this creates a dangerous issue if you are driving on a dark country road or on a main divided highway and your vision to the side is partially obscured by this feature.

Reverse Gear warning sound - It is much too loud and sounds like a backhoe backing up.

but at times the transmission seems to shudder into 3rd or 4th gears and almost lurches the passengers forward for a half second, but it's not consistent enough to be checked by the dealership.

The only cons are at very low speeds and very light acceleration it sometimes hunts for the correct gear.

Putting signal lights at the lowest point on a vehicle is just asking for trouble.

Plenty of power and handling is competent,  if not sporty.

This car has more going for it in technology, comfort, and never feel a lack of power when needed.

Plenty of power, smooth ride, effortless to drive, and comfortable.

The interior is very comfortable &#38; with the Limited trim we also got the 10" screen.

Otherwise it is very comfortable and has a nice ride quality.

This Tucson is a much smoother ride than my previous version, and it has the styling that turns heads.

I'm overall very happy &#38; look forward to several years with my new ride!

People have complemented its looks on several occasions and it's a comfortable ride.

Have the SEL premium package gas Tucson since November and I love the interior features of the car!

Selected this over the RAV4 mainly for the technology, features, and design.

Wireless CarPlay and all convenience package features are worth it.

but I cannot use android auto google maps on full screen; for some reason, it shows a sidebar with the Android auto logo, which is a waste of screen space.

I also think the navigation and back up camera is not as good as the prius prime.

Try to use the map function and it would crash.

My main complaint for this model is the fuel tank, and if you are doing long-distance travel, you have to stop every 300 miles; it only holds 11 gallons, that's ridiculously small for an SUV.

For a 27k vehicle it has so much plastic that even a small light impact takes out the to low to the ground turn signals.

The biggest con is the small gas tank and range.

Even using USB cable to connect Android Auto, the system has a hard time maintaining connection at 50&#37; of the time.

I was advised the items: tonneau cover, bed lights and electric cord in bed will take 3 to 4 months till dealers will be in stock. Bummer

At night switch’s climate controls from whatever you have it set on to defrost and fogs windows up.

While driving the dual wet clutch transmission went into neutral while on a highway.

Even the SEL has electric seat adjustment, tilt steering wheel, heated seats, backup assistance, lane assist, blind spot and other alerts.

but the blind spot warning and various camera modes offset the issues.

First of all don't listen to all the "experts" who claim the base engine is underpowered. Hogwash!

The technology is very good and the turbo engine has more then enough power to move the trucklet in every day driving.

but it made me think you would have to get this engine bc the base 4 cylinder would not be enough.

It handles exceptionally well in all kinds of weather.

Beautiful Vehicle (turns heads) and is very economical great on gas if you drive it gently.

As others have said, be prepared to turn heads and have others ask you about it.
