noise

Most recent issue; a bad rattle from something in the front end.

the engine noise is a little louder than I think it can be and I'm getting used to the power being a little less than what we had.

Only negative is the Bridgestone tires, noisy & excessive wear in 29,000 miles.

My biggest problem with this car is road noise.

As with a lot of Hondas there is some road noise,

Surprising features I can't live without now such as brake hold, dual memory driver's seat, Apple Car Play/Android Auto, LED headlights, hands free liftgate that is height adjustable, adaptive cruise control, active noise cancellation, active shutter grill, awd, dual climate control, 3 level heated seats, 5 star accident tests.

So, the things that make this vehicle stand-out are:
- impressive gas mileage
- very roomy interior and cargo space
- features for the price (heated seats, remote starter, Apple&#47;Android)
- All the modern safery features included (back-up camera, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise, collision alert, etc)
- Quality interior materials (I have cloth seats) 

There are only a couple of things that dont get an A grade:
- seats are not comfortable over long periods of time
- a bit noisy on acceleration (not sure if its the engine or CVT or both)

Overall though, this vehicle is tough to beat.

I tell them I have been hearing lifter noises and a strange whining from the transmission.

failure

Contacted Honda due to having knowledge that the Honda Pilots had been recalled for this same issue.

So tired of the dash lights telling me “whatever system” Failure  that this time I am not even going to bother taking it to get fixed.

The car was just recalled because of problems with fuel leaking into the oil!

So, there are major health issues---hydrocarbons in the passenger compartment and a major risk that the engine will fail prematurely due to gas being mixed with oil.

At 70mph the car suddenly slowed, lost power, the check engine light came on, and multiple electrical systems reported malfunctions in the dash display.

shifter

button that controls movement of the shifter knob broke into several parts and fell from the shifter knob causing an issue with properly shifting vehicle into gears.

but turn off that and shift to Sports mode is totally different.

The gear shift is a little uncomfortable for my hand.

tank

The economy of this vehicle is a nice bonus -- my insurance dropped $90/year (due to the safety features) and a tank of gasoline is running around $30 (got to love the switch from premium fuel to regular).

Negatives: gas tank refill alert sounds after 10 gallons, not a good range.

The only thing that we would like to change is the gas tank size is only 14 gallons, which limits the range to less than 400 miles.

lights

At 60,000 miles all of the lights came on and I was told that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced.

newest problem 10&#47;1&#47;21 my emission system light is on.

Inaccurate warning lights, sensors drained the battery 3 times.

Example: The headlights were lowered, now it’s hard to read road signs, the lights are not bright enough.

We had had trouble with the warning lights on mirrors coming on for no reason earlier in the year,  Long story short Went to the dealer in Pensacola 3 times before they said it was "fixed"  Stopped in the Smoky Mtns .

In November, while driving the car, most of the warning lights on the dashboard lit up.

This car is worth every penny and its a basic car with basic features.

There are multiple built in safety features.

Its roomy without being cavernous, comfortable, well designed ergonomically, loads of convenience features, and it rides good.

But I still like the styling and amenities of an SUV.

It has every amenity in comfort and performance that I can imagine—turbo engine, heated orthopedæcally correct seats, ergonomic displays, visibility, responsiveness, tracking, safety mechanisms, large clean cargo space, resale value, durability, extremely little maintenance needs, low mileage—and other features lacking on any of the other comparable cars I test drove (a little

Driver assistance features work well and make the CRV easy to drive on the Highway.

It has many features including USB, touch screen and Bluetooth.

This White Honda CRV is comfortable, quiet and reliable.

Pros: turbo, fun to drive, great on gas, comfortable and drives like new.

It’s pretty comfortable and I do love it.

Very comfortable and fun to drive and got 32 Mpg.

The comfort, classiness, and safety is the best!

Extremely comfortable ride--go for the EX-L if you can!

This car was an update for me because it has the safety and creature comforts.

I've had issues with batteries, a&#47;c control center, and now the entire safety suite is going haywire.

MPG of 31-33, has the safety suite, rides well and can carry 4-5 adults comfortably.

Plenty of safety features we haven't had with older models.

but with the new safety features (blind spot monitoring, etc.)

room

Affordable price, upscale interior, very roomy 2nd-row, immense cargo space, quick and quiet power, handles nicely, 35-40 mpg.

I live my new CRV Lx because it has a lot of room in it and cargo space in the back.

Seats fold down and provide plenty of room to carry cargo and my dog.

We are tall and it has leg and elbow room for everyone.

I AM ENJOYING IT..IT HAS LOTS OF SPACE..DRIVES GREAT..I HAD BOUGHT ONE BECAUSE MY SISTER LOVES HERS

Modern, handles well, not too big for street parking in the city, nice cargo space.

REAR hatch shallows a mountain bike with room to spare!

I love the spacious room without being large vehicle.

2019 Honda CR-V

button doesn't really give you better gas mileage it kinda dulls down the vehicle and it's a lot louder than what I'm used to it kinda sounds like a tic but I was assured by Honda that it's a normal noise for that vehicle.

but brake issues and weird noises supposedly from brakes!

Negative: 1.slow move from stop and engine noise.

The Escape is more comfortable, better riding and much quieter, engine noise in the CRV is loud sounds like a blown exhaust gasket when accelerating, road noise is excessive, suspension squeak and rattle.

Complained about road noise to dealer at first service, they said there was no problem found.

The only negative is the engine noise when you initially accelerate - wish Honda would have insulated the engine compartment and firewall.

battery

Uncomfortable seats on a long Ride, Battery issue that Honda Refused to address in Some CR-V EX, American Honda Poor Customer Support after the Sale.

This car drover really nice my only 2 concerns are reports of a dead battery and also the Oil delusion might still exist on the 2019 models.

Don't be put off by the reviews you might see about gas found in the engine oil or the battery dying.

steering

Also the switches on the steering wheel could use a little work.

I would have liked the steering wheel to have been a bit more comfortable to hold and fabric a bit more generous for the EX model.

Typical of Honda, ALL its features are thoughtful and easy to use.

You can use ECON for driving in the city and many great features for highway driving!

We love the safety features, they make our travel in it much more enjoyable.

I like all of the extra features it provides and would recommend it to anyone.

Great features, love the apple CarPlay, sunroof and auto start all  built in to the EX MODEL.

I do love the Honda CR-V for its ride and comfortable car.

It's very comfortable for long trips too.

This car is a good vehicle it gets good gas mileage and rides very comfortable good leg room and it handles real good going down the highway

ride

This car is very dependable and it drives and rides very well.

It has a lot  of pep and the ride was so smooth I was so pleased.

This car met all of my needs, It has plenty of legroom in the the front and back, the ride is great compared to other cars.

Definitely feel like I  was taken for a ride.

Only knock I would have is the rocky ride.

This is a great car and everyone that rides in it say that it is a smooth riding car and comfortable inside.

Otherwise, I like the CRV better, as it has much more body space in front and back.

Lots of room for passengers and also for luggage if traveling which we just did on a trip to Florida from Western New York state.

Either one is excellent if space is at the forefront get the CR-V if performance and near sports car handling get the Mazda CX-5.

I am able to put the back seats down and have plenty of room.

Runs great gets excellent gas mileage and gas plenty of room in it.

have a great space and luxury heating seat and roof and gps  the service is excellent

Everything is laid out well and logical, good use of space, solid on the highway etc as you would expect from a Honda.

This CR-V sure beats the Jeep we traded.. Lots of room ,nice ride &#38; great on gas.

2018 Honda CR-V

This car’s design in terrible for road noise.

My only concern is the engine size which is too small and very noisy

Radio navigation issues, battery dies, loud noises while driving, phone issues, no one can hear me.

The moon roof has developed an annoying and fairly loud rattle.

When I back up break makes a loud noise, and my dealer mechanic said it normal.

Engine makes some noise when accellerating and engine is cold this disappears when warmed up.

THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE HAD IS WITH THE NOISY HANKOOK TIRES AND I REPLACED THEM WITH A NEW SET OF MICHLEN DESTINY TIRES.

My one real quibble, the thing that bugs me the most, the engine noise.

windshield

but does not heat up the car and takes long time to defrost windshield.

What happens is you don't see the anything in front and the wiper doesn't help much in taking out puddles of water thudding into to your windshield straight.

When you manually start it the car, the front defrost (set at the highest temperature and power) is inefficient and takes longer than it should to clear the windshield.

It's ok. Auto wipers do not work very well.

very frustrating trying to drive this crossover - intermittent wipers have little to no adjustment, back defroster not work, NO ARMREST, VERY bad blindspot at front drivers side of windshield, slow on pickup from a stop, no support from dealership after numerous inquiries and emails.

Dislikes :   when starting using remote start, cabin does not warm up or defrost windshield well.

Dash goes crazy in and out (twice and have video of it ) , brakes applying at high rates of speed with no traffic in front , objects or anything that dealer keeps talking B.S .about rear wiper was going off on occasion while driving forward

The car battery completely failed with no warning whatsoever.

Also, needs a warning light that battery is low ; we were 3 hours away, and various systems were not working well; hard start,

Battery had to be replaced after 21 months of use.

Next, 1 week later the battery goes dead Saturday afternoon.

but if you do any traveling and have to leave your car at an airport parking lot while on vacation, or for work, don’t count on the battery working as the electronics place a parasitic drain on the battery, when not driven daily.

In the first year we experienced:  excessive seat wear and tear, battery replacement, issues with sensors, handling and braking systems inoperative during bad winter weather (no ABS, auto braking, lane avoidance, etc).

The car was sold with substandard quality tires on it and they are failing before I had the vehicle 2 yrs.

Honda didn’t put out any information or recalls in the southern states.

I feel they definitely should replace the two panels since obviously the parts are cheap and they fail to warn you at the time you purchase the vehicle, that it can potentially melt some of the parts if you park next to another car or building where the reflection of the sun can bounce off and damage the car. Seriously?

The display system has a software issue that causes the system to fail periodically.

brake

It was back in the shop the first week because the collision avoidance system kept slamming on the brakes on the highway and nearly causing accidents.

It applied breaks unnecessarily several times when person in front was making a right hand turn even as i was applying breaks and was in no danger of hitting car.

This car not only has auto emergency braking, blind spot warning, automatic high beams, fog lights, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, rear radar for approaching vehicles, it will actually operate the gas and brake pedals in stop and go traffic, up to 25 MPH.

The engine seems to surge at slow speed so have to keep my foot on the brake when puttin it in the garage.

Everything is so cool, lane assist, collision avoidance (the car stopped with out me pressing the brake, cruise control (I drove the car in cruise control weaved in and out of traffic on ramps to different highways and didn't touch the break).

finally moved the parking brake to the dash board-more legroom.

Plus all great features GPS, Tilt Wheel, all of Honda’s Safety Features, leather seats, power driver &#38; passenger seats.

I was shocked at how well the safety features worked and how minimal my injuries were despite the accident.

I love the look of the vehicle and all of the options that the EX package offers.

The creature features are something to get used to

I really like the new safety features, including the side view mirror blind spot monitor.

Very safe and easy to drive with all the new safety features that are standard on a Honda.

Great features and I paid 26000 instead of 34000 for a Toyota.

The safety features and the comfortable ride.

I am comfortable driving with my grandchildren and confident in the safety features.

I am a big man at 6'4" and this vehicle has really surprised me with the head and leg room it provides even with the sunroof.

Great gas mileage, very spacious car with decent styling.

This is the second CRV I have bought and I love the updated body style, big cargo space, wider cabin, turbo engine and great gas mileage.

It’s fun to drive, gets great gas mileage, all-wheel drive, has all the technology you want/need!

I haven’t a minutes trouble with this car, good driving, very good mileage.

My CRV Honda Touring model get’s great mileage 28 to 31MPG.

2018 Chevrolet Equinox

There is very little engine or road noise.

but there is a slight rattle that we have not been able to resolve, and the engine has a high-pitched noise at times in 20-45 mph range.

After the first 4 or 5 months it developed an annoying vibration at speeds about 30 mph, felt like driving on a bumpy road at lower speeds, a vibration at freeway speeds.

Both lift gates rattle when u reach 60 mph.

The trailer hitch cover will not stay on even after it has been replaced with a new one and car has rattles that they try and fix every time we carry it in.

it's very noisy, when I driving it I hear some noises from dashboard and doors!

My only complaint is a strange noise every once in a while driving highway speeds every once in a while a fluttering sound comes from under the car ?? ?

Compared to it, the new model is noisier (wind & road noise),  noticeably smaller, not nearly as comfortable (horrible seats) and a very plain instrument panel.

Bad blindspot on passenger side looking out windshield.

Fuel system replaced, back wiper and numerous system/fuse issues.

It reflect light and makes driving with the wipers on, regretful.

I dont like the head lights  very very unsafe at night you can not see the hole road looks like some one pulled a black curtain down half way down the windshield half of windshied is black was told by Don halls chev can not fix them

Windows fog up quickly and have to change to windshield only.

Heated steering wheel n if you are too close to the car in front of you a red warning sign shows up on the windshield.

but I would avoid anything more than a rough and rutted dirt road, since the approach, break over and departure angles seem sketchy and there’s no locking differential either.

Car rolls when put in park and brakes are released forward and backwards depending on the pitch of the road car leaps off the line when  i am at red light and release the brake to engage the auto start it drives off in the forward direction unless i very quickly depress the brake pedal

Have 70000 miles on car and now broke down motor gone due to vacuum pump for brakes failing

Horrible car with roughly 40,000 miles my wife was driving it and out of nowhere she lost all breaks couldn’t stop coming to her exit, she pulled off after finally getting it to stop turned the car off and wouldn’t turn back on.

Hate the engine shutdown crap at red lights, I just pump the brakes .

I like the fact it shut off when I brake, to dave gas.

Also, who puts a rocker switch as a manual gear shifter on the transmission handle?

Just one thing, the gear shifts could be better positioned.

Have experienced so many mechanical failures that either should never have happened or shouldn’t be happening so soon in the vehicle’s life.

but after the vehicle already failed us and had to be trailered to the dealership because it died in my driveway and we could not turn the vehicle OFF.

Nice features such as back up camera, heated seats, wifi.
