2022 Volkswagen Taos

transmission

The transmission shifts inconsistently causing either jerking of vehicle at low speeds or inadequate acceleration when needed to merge into traffic.

I would rate this vehicle at least 4 stars if the transmission did not make driving this vehicle Work and tiresome.

The DSG transmission is a very poor choice for this vehicle.

The transmission is a bit laggy from a start

but until the embarrassing 7-speed transmission gets addressed, I wouldn't recommend the Taos to someone.

The only negative comments I have is about the transmission.

but the uneven power delivery is a hazard and I would warn others to avoid the AWD version until a future time when VW either fixes this condition or uses a different transmission in the next version.

.the car violently Jerks sometimes when stop at the light when the ignition shuts off,the lane assist will randomly shut off.

I purchased this in January and at only 4000 miles has been to the dealer multiple times for stop start stalling, EPC code, check engine light and other electronic issues.

Lately, while driving, the car will flash the check engine light when it's low on gas.

My other car is a VW GTI, which is my fun car.

The update VW sent out to fix electronic glitches and other items was easy to accomplish and it did fix most electronic demons

but gained AWD, way more passenger space for family and friends and a more comfortable riding position for when I feel like running about.

The quiet and smooth ride of the Taos has been thoughtfully designed and engineered.

It has a very comfortable ride (a little on the firmer side) and it handles very well for a CUV.

Nice balance between sportiness, efficiency, noise, & ride.

It's a very compact car, I find that the passenger seat ride is okay - I have a baby-seat in the rear that only allows for so much room in front-passenger seat

The car is beautiful on the outside and such a smooth ride.

Acceleration is not bad, better in Sport mode, ride is good, and handling surprisingly nimble.

Great fuel economy, handles like a sports car and plenty of room on the in the cabin.

but, you should not need to push the seat back for basic foot room.

Don’t sell yourself short get the M package

It had all of the options on it except the touch screen and wireless phone charger and audio upgrade.

I traded in my 2020 X3 M40i, Which was a great vehicle, for the 2022 X5 X40i with the M sport package.

New X5 is much quieter, better riding and provides a better driver experience.

2022 Subaru Outback

navigation

With my vehicle it was that the voice activation of the nav and search systems simply didn't work.

Unfortunately the infotainment screen is laggy and shuts off randomly shutting down everything except the engine,, safety systems, radio, gps, ac are all used through the laggy screen.

Infotainment can be a little touchy, wish nav used Google maps.

Electronics are consistently awful, from the (not really) voice-activated navigation to the slow, finicky touch-screen that controls nearly everything.

button is almost impossible to find&#47;use. The voice-activated navigation is unreliable - try entering a local address and the system responds "Would you like to navigate to the center of Lenox Iowa?"

Subaru driver recognition works sometimes and in a repair order they say it’s designed to fail.

The electronics are annoying, faulty and poorly designed.

The cvt transmission is awful, sucking the life out of the engine.

The Wilderness is quicker off the line, faster overall, with much smoother shifts from the revised transmission, with little body roll compromise when cornering at speed.

The CVT transmission is the worst ever - jumpy, jerky, and unable to match power requirements to transmission gearing.

And I wanted a fun car that I can sleep inside when I go camping.

I have NO IDEA why people are hating so hard on the infotainment and the electronics.

This is a good car that has been spoiled by a poorly designed drive train and dysfunctional electronics.

My 2022 Outback Touring with Java Brown Nappa interior is simply the best yet, with Eyesight Technology and all of the safety features, e.g., Lane Keeping, Adaptive Cruise Control & Blind Spot Monitoring etc.

2022 Ford Bronco

But I'm really starting to like the little pony Bronco Handel's the road with hugs and is peppy and fun to drive.

The Bronco is very fun to drive and one of the best vehicle I have ever own.

I got a 2022 Badlands/Sasquatch 2-dr with the 2.7 and it's a stud .  . handles great off-road, mud, sand, it has handled everything I've thrown at it !!!!!!!

Note, if you change modes, it will turn it's self back on.

If you like the "mini-SUV" vehicles, you'll love the Bronco Sport.

Basic features of the Bronco are better than the Wrangler which hasn't changed much for many years.

After a few months, I noticed my right headlight wasn't working as well as my left one, so I requested service through the mobile app.

As usual when you pick up the tesla car, you need to do a “thorough inspection “, even underchassis of the care, true enough, the model Y has  a lot of problems, the fittings are not the same, tail lights was not properly installed, the hood is not the same alignment, I don’t know what the quality control is doing.. most of the cars are built rushed.

Phone charger was replaced, back tail light was replaced, car came slights misaligned,  and finally at one point “hold mode” stopped working for like two days then started working again.

but I owned a Model 3 for almost 4 years and only changed the tires, not even the wipers, other than a problem with the 12 volt battery that runs things when the “mother battery” is busy with other things, but it was covered under the 50,000 mile warranty and they came to my home to fix it.

Let’s be real, this won’t save the environment let alone the fact the batteries will need to be disposed at some point, most power plants are coal, the amount of work to process and build this car, and this is a heavy vehicle youre not allowed to fix: this is the worst investment you can make for a daily driver.

Other weird things: when you use cruise control every once a while it will beep wildly and slam on the brakes for no apparent reason.

but if you live in a hot climate like I do here in Riverside, you're not gonna get 300.

The quality control on the vehicle is terrible.

It's super fun to drive and easy to plug in at home and road trips.

Very fun and practical, no worries about range with Supercharger network.

It’s fun, handles well, good cabin experience, and it’s comfortable.

Until Tesla gets their electronics act together and the range of their vehicles gets up to around the 500 mile level I would recommend that you stay away unless you are a city driver and don't mind spending time waiting for your Tesla to get fixed.

We have driven cross country with zero issues finding chargers or running low on range.

and even INCREASING the car's RANGE by 15km/ charge, yes they did that with a software update!

The Long range version has the perfect range.

Very overrated car, real range is not more than 200 miles..(winter driving),very stiff and bumpy riding on the performance car, luck of car control with this big tuch screen.

This car is excellent when it comes to range.

I found out that the extended 320 mile range is only good for around town driving.

The 2022 Tesla Model Y has a range of around 350 miles and charging stations have not kept up with the Tesla and other electric vehicle fascination.

The build quality, ride, and over car is amazingly improved.

The best thing to do is spec the car with smaller diameter wheels (19” wheel = cheaper tires/more selection and better ride quality) or buy a set of 19’s once you get the vehicle.

I do recommend to have a level 2 charger at home, helps with the waiting for 20-25 mins to charge up at charging stations if u don’t like to wait.

Nothing like waiting at a super charger for 45 minutes to get a Fictitious 300 mile charge that only gives you 200 miles.

It will take you around an hour to recharge the vehicle once you find the charging station.

If you think it doesn't ride smooth or is too noisy that's okay because it is not trying to be a sedan driving, eco friendly crossover.

Absolutely an all around versatile, trustworthy, well built, fun, vehicle.

Overall, for the short time with the vehicle there are notable aspects which I enjoy more than the Wrangler.

But, if you want fun and adventure, 4Runner is the way to go all day!

But if you want the performance of a jeep and reliability of a Toyota buy a 4runner and enjoy your ride.

The upgrades in the electronics and additions to the infotainment system as well as the off-road capability ride and comfort is more than I’ve experienced in the past with my past forerunners.

I personally feel very safe and comfortable.

Rugged, yet comfy in the TRD Sport model.

I highly recommend this truck to anyone who wants a advanced capability SUV for Offroad and on road comfort.

It is very comfortable and helps me to run day to day errands on the paved roads.

Absolutely love my new 4Runner, traded from my Tacoma and love the difference in ride quality!

Don’t buy if you’re concerned about fuel mileage.

Limited gears. As engine aged, adding a few more gears would smooth out engine and probably improve gas mileage(a pro for the new Wranglers with the PennStar 6cyl.)

2022 Kia Carnival

My Carnival ex is a great Multipurpose vehicle, plenty of room for the family lots of room for cargo with the rear seats folded down We took it on vacation carried luggage, supplies, Porta grille, beach chairs blankets pillows etc and still had room for more

3yr electronics, 5yr interior, 10yr drive-train.

Its spacious, comfortable, nice display screen and the TRUNK SPACE is a bonus.

The carnival is stylish, clean looking, comfortable, and great for road trips!

The 13 year old grand kids deal with the travels in comfort.

It is more comfortable than the Pacifica.

2022 Kia K5

me being a car guy I enjoy the  power and confidence this car has along with great fuel economy.

I ended up get the blue one as picture its a nice blue metallic and going to be a great car for a long time, I will definitely enjoy this car for the next 10 years no problem.

So got my 2022 Kia K5 GT Line (basically got all the upgrades on it), totally worth it, comfortable the car and driver note about the seat sitting too high must of not used the electronics right because the seat can go all the way to the ground.

The app on the phone is great especially for winters, I can always track it if the kids take it, It is comfortable, no mechanical issues it is 1 year old as of 3 week ago!

so far so good , this is our third kia , this k5 being the best and most comfortable .

The comfort is great the enterior is sharp.

2022 EX Kia K5 is by far the most comfortable drive and fantastic performance.

The tech, the power, the comfort and panoramic roof.

I immediately felt comfortable in this car.

Reliable, excellent safety features and as always looks sharp.

The K5 is fun to drive has some awesome features like the cruise control with stop and go!

Accessing frequently used features, quickly, is just not “common sense” and I am very technologically sound!

but am glad I chose the luxury over "power" because the take off power is great and that is very important to me.

2022 BMW X5 M

I rated the build quality 3 stars since the headliner was out of place when I received delivery, the panels on the pillars are made of some kind of black fiber glass materials that looks cheap, and the speaker on the dash has a cover on it that feels like was made from recycled plastic bottles.

I love everything about this car except the standard audio system - HK wasn't available when mine was built and there aren't any options to post-factory upgrade through BMW.

No complaints, except disappointment with some items not being available due to chip shortage (like the stereo upgrade).

I can not fully explain the disappointment with the auto start stop system.

Again this is no longer offered and the new system is, even for a person like me who is not a mega audiophile, noticeably inferior.
