19 Sep

Having dedicated summer and winter tires expands the cars envelope exponentially.

11 Aug

My tires and brakes for example are holding up exceedingly well.

27 Oct

Mine has all season tires.

7 Oct

The SE package comes with heated leather seats, a panoramic moon roof, and all-season tires.

17 Jul

Brakes are great, just oil and tires.

3 Jan

The Golf/GTI platforms seem to devour rear tires, even with a 5,000 mile rotation frequency.

13 Nov

the Fender sound system does have a sub inside the spare tire (donut tire) and will definitely put out bass

17 Jan

All GTI's should have Golf R climate controls.

25 Jun

My wife liked the GTI so much she bought a 2017 GOLF, not the GTI as it, "had fewer bumps".

24 Jun

YES, you could upgrade to the Golf R,

29 Apr

I’ve always been a fan of then GTI, so much so I’ve owned 3 plus a Golf R. GTIs are a fantastic value.

6 Jan

This Golf GTI is far and away my favorite.

27 Oct

I shopped Golf Rs as well

18 Jul

The Golf GTI gets far better gas mileage, has better fit & finish more available amenities a better ride, bigger cargo area and was cheaper to insure.

30 Jun

VW's GTI and Golf R are two of the best care on the market for anyone, regardless of your needs.

7 May

For comparison, my daughter drives a golf sportwagen with a base sound system, and I think it sounds just as good.

24 Jan

Yes, it is stiffer than the GOLF.

22 Dec

It's very fast and super fun to drive,

23 May

Either a daily driver or weekend cruiser, allways fun to drive.

14 Oct

Fun car to drive.

8 Oct

but you get every cent of that back out of pure driving joy.

9 Sep

It is a fun car to own, great gas mileage and even if your not going to turn it into a rice burner it is still a awesome little car and gots alot of power, you can get around all these slow idiot drivers that seem to be all over the place.

7 Jun

But this car is AMAZING for cornering, that is hands down where you will have the most fun in this car.

22 May

Multiple driving modes allow for fun or cruising.

9 Feb

I can not think of any other hatchback for the price that drive, handles and is so much fun to drive.

2 Feb

What a fun and well thought out car this little hatch is!

25 Nov

The car’s driving modes actually create a noticeable difference in its overall character; in Sport mode, the steering becomes tighter, the ride firmer, and the shifts more crisp, for example, which is a lot of fun.

19 Mar

Reliable and sporty with adequate gas mileage.

19 Feb

To be sure, this is not your grandfather’s plush riding car, it’s sport hatch and rides like one.

10 Jul

Combine all 3 of these vehicles and you have a nice sporty car with great gas mileage.

25 Jun

For a sport type car, the handling and ride are eary good.

7 Jun

Being a 2017, this is offered with drive modes and normally the GTI has Eco, Normal, Sport, and Custom.

22 May

Very much enjoy driving it and is super comfortable, sporty, fast, and has incredible phone connectivity and driver features.

29 Apr

In fact, the 2017 GTI Sport is often argued to be the perfect GTI - everything you need, nothing you don’t.

10 Mar

Perfect commuter "sports car" needed something to be a better daily than my s2000

25 Nov

In all, the GTI - a sedan, station wagon, sports car, and economy car, all in one - is even better than I'd hoped it would be.

11 Aug

The GTI Sport, 6 speed manual, is extremely docile yet responsive in city traffic and a beast on the back roads.

17 Jan

Economy, performance, flexibility, holds value, road car, back roads car, safety, comfort, feature-laden and now almost $10K less than the price of the average new vehicle.

24 Jun

One of the major reasons I have stuck loyal with VW is the bundle of performance, comfort, affordability, and reliability.

7 Jun

but that helps with the racing and overall it is still very comfortable. When driving reasonably I have peaked with 48.7 miles per gallon AVERAGE (WITHOUT HAVING AN ECO MODE!)

22 May

Very much enjoy driving it and is super comfortable, sporty, fast, and has incredible phone connectivity and driver features.

17 Dec

There are no regrets with either purchase and have found that the GTI in any trim level is an awesome all-around performance car, comfortable and great on long trips.

3 Nov

but comfortable for long trips.

29 Apr

It’s quick, agile and comfortable.

10 Mar

Quick, comfortable, overall a premium vehicle for being in the economy class

25 Nov

I was looking for a daily driver, so I needed a car that checked a lot of boxes and was comfortable, versatile, a strong value, and had great fuel economy.

19 Sep

With almost every option minus the lane / cruise assist and DCC, the car is extremely comfortable with a well laid out interior.

14 Mar

Tires work great in the rain, would not recommend for snow/ice.

26 Oct

wheels are unforgiving in MA (I have had to fix dents on each rim), snow tires are a must, other maintenance issues have been sporadic and fixed with software updates (like engine misfires sending the vehicle into epc mode).

8 Jul

cabin noise is good considering 19 tires.

9 May

Handled well in snow with high performance all season tires.

9 May

Handled well in snow with high performance all season tires.

28 Oct

but an inflator and tire sealer kit!

18 Oct

The 19 inch tires are wonderful, and I bought a set of 17 inch snows that will come in handy here in the northeast.

17 Apr

I would've kept Mk4 Golf till it died.

18 Nov

Golf R is the fastest car for the money.

24 Sep

I really love the VW Golf R. It is a perfect balance of easy daily driver and race car!

8 Jul

The Mk7 Golf R is my perfect car.

7 Jun

Coming from an Infiniti, I have a high bar for comfort, performance, and sophistication - the Golf R checks all my boxes for sure.

14 Feb

We bought our 2017 Golf R as a weekend/road trip car and I was super satisfied with it's performance.

8 Dec

but although it is just as much fun (or maybe even a tad bit more fun than the R) I would still say the Golf R is overall the better car as it really does everything nearly perfect and is more understated.

7 Jul

The Golf R is a really cool mix of a 4 door car, a hatch that can absorb stuff to haul, and a super sticky - tossable car that can just scream!

29 May

This 2017 Golf R is the exact same car without the luxury and prestige yet is more fun to drive!

20 Feb

The Golf R is a car that many just can't understand.

22 Aug

More comfortable than Focus RS - not difficult, let's be honest.

18 Jul

Comfortable, agile nimble.

18 Nov

Roomy and comfortable for 4.

13 Jul

Heated seats, which are very comfortable, are excellent.

3 Jun

It is a very comfortable car with all the upgrades and it is fast.

8 Jul

but I can ferry 4 adults to lunch and back in comfort.

7 Jun

Coming from an Infiniti, I have a high bar for comfort, performance, and sophistication - the Golf R checks all my boxes for sure.

5 Aug

I've owned a lot of vehicles in my 50 years of driving and this vehicle is perfect for my needs: Speed Handling Storage Comfortable seating Value for the money Technology

8 Jul

Comfortable and easy to drive ( manual trans).

17 Apr

and definitely nowhere near as fun to drive as the R. We also own a Mk6 GTI that I find uncomfortable.

18 Nov

Unbelievable fun to drive.

22 Dec

but still want a fun hot hatch?

13 Dec

Quick, fun to drive and offered in manual with AWD just as I wanted.

3 Dec

Sporty and fun with 300 hp, AWD, and electronically adjustable sport suspension.

26 Oct

Bought this vehicle for the awd in the winter and the fun summer performance.

7 Jun

If you are looking for a mature, yet fun car, this is the one!

28 Apr

although I will truly enjoy having this one in the meantime.

18 Mar

So much fun!. .

8 Feb

I owned all the german makes (spent well over 100K on many cars) and this is the most fun, I have put another 10K in performance mods and it's amazing.

10 Apr

Handling is very good, and the electronics are top-notch in the class.

23 Nov

The way it throws you back in your seat and takes corners on rails is exhilarating.

13 Jul

Car drives like it's on rails around corners.

14 Mar

Amazing fit & finish, handling, acceleration, styling all 5 star.

8 Jul

Loves going round corners, I havent yet felt it over or under steer.

7 Jun

It's quick and handles exceptionally well, is packed to the gills with plenty of electronic toys, and is practical enough for long road trips with the family.

9 May

Plus it handles way better too :-) This is the type of car that you fantasize about getting back home and driving when you are on vacation.

12 Dec

Note that the front lower corners are openings which offer no protection to the components behind.

5 Aug

I've owned a lot of vehicles in my 50 years of driving and this vehicle is perfect for my needs: Speed Handling Storage Comfortable seating Value for the money Technology

23 Jun

Driving is just plain fun, shifting through the gears feeling the pull of acceleration while handling the road like it's on rails.

13 Jul

Only issue in 3 years is with the Nav monitor which would periodically shut off.

9 May

but my entertainment & navigation shut down and required a dealer refresh to get it back up again.

30 Dec

If you have the AWD like I do and put winter tires on it.

5 Sep

The tire pressure light is always on, and i’ve had the computer reset multiple times.

14 Jul

Ford uses the best Michelin tires.

16 May

The car also has a computer controlled suspension, heavy-duty transmission, 19" wheels, high performance tires, all-wheel drive, and a bunch of other stuff.

12 May

It drives great, good gas mileage, comfortable, lots of room, large trunk area, good tires, supportive lumbar seats, plenty of power, solid ride and handles well.

5 Aug

The factory tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric All-Season 235/40R19 which are extremely low profile, with extremely soft rubber.

20 Feb

2.5L motor has enough power when needed and the car rides smoothly and safely with front-wheel drive and good winter tires.

10 Nov

The car offers a comfortable cabin, smooth driving, and all sorts of operational guidance including status of tire pressure, camera, warning of proximity of approaching objects when backing up, cabin temperature, gas mileage, etc., etc.

30 Jun

Im very proud of the mid size match-up, the color is my life long dream, great tires, I love the rear-view mirrors and LCD park lights, media options are fabulous!

6 Apr

I was told to drive another 2,000 miles as my tires have flat spots.

16 May

The trunk is ENORMOUS with room for golf clubs and accessories and more.

5 Aug

I have trouble fitting my single golf bag, let alone another golf bag or a Clicgear cart.

16 Jun

Take it anywhere, plenty of storage with a huge trunk that fits golf clubs and baby carriages easily.

12 May

The trunk is has a lot of room, four sets of golf clubs no problem

31 Dec

Handling: A comfortable ride when driven gently and then firm and responsive when pushed and in "Sport" mode.

29 Jul

Comfortable leather seats, fantastic air and heating system.

30 Jun

It was quick, a little sporty, and definitely comfortable,

28 May

It was so comfortable and was great driving.

31 Mar

Most comfortable car ever!

23 Jan

smh Number one: not at all a comfortable ride.

18 Jan

but so far it's very comfortable, fun to drive and with the hybrid, gets over 40mpg.

27 Dec

I liked the look and comfortable drive of it, when I first went for a spin.

14 Dec

So far the options ,comfort and performance of this vehicle meet my needs.

18 Nov

Because it's a safe, stylish, comfortable, good-handling sedan.

22 Jan

It has great features I can’t live without now, I’ve been spoiled.

8 Jun

Lots of interior features.

28 May

I Love all the features in my car .

12 Apr

but its the SE trim package and it has it where it counts.

31 Mar

I love all the extra features my car has.

27 Mar

I love this car it’s great has all the options I wanted

14 Dec

So far the options ,comfort and performance of this vehicle meet my needs.

25 May

This car had Every feature imaginable.

16 May

SE Trim level with luxury package includes leather, sunroof, and chrome.

21 Mar

The new one rides better and has more options.

22 Jan

So that must be that way to help with overall gas saving.

31 Dec

Fuel Economy: I drive this car like I stole it, yet I average 21 mpg.

29 Jul

Great on gas.

1 Jun

The Fusion is very good on gas.

29 Nov

It is good on gas and has ample power for the highway

18 Nov

Unless you're constantly hauling big bulky stuff, and not just two or three kids in the back, this fuel efficient, environmentally responsible, reasonably priced car gets the job done.

5 Sep

The gas mileage is horrendous and i love going through the car wash to give my car a bath aswell as myself getting a bath too since the wonderful sunroof leaks.

31 Aug

Gas mileage went from 25mpg to 36mpg on the highway.

23 Jun

Great ride, good gas mileage And it looks great

13 Jun

Acceleration and fuel economy are nothing to boast about,

4 Aug

But I have had multiple issues ; clock spring had to be replaced, Front Interface Display Module had to be replaced, New battery, only my passenger rear window is automatic, my speakers are slowly going out.

21 Jan

N/A

5 Jan

Dealer checked all, said nothing could be found, finally replaced battery.

28 Aug

The key battery died within a year and cannot start the car outside and had to towed twice, the engine broke down in year 2 and has to be replaced.

26 Jul

Trunk is smaller due to batteries and could be bigger.

12 May

I can’t go 2 weeks without a car so I’m left disconnecting the battery overnight every time this happens.

2 Feb

Sure, I had the dead battery issue right after I got it,

4 Dec

I had one repair - a known issue where the battery would drain overnight.

30 Sep

Had 2 different coolant leaks, the battery drained because of a faulty gear selector, and the driver side upper seat cover had to be replaced TWICE.

23 Sep

Like everyones complaints I'm seeing, is from the So called batteries they're putting in these good-for-nothing money pits.

5 Jan

The body fitment is not nearly as nice as my 500, and there is wind noise around the two rear doors.

7 Dec

You don't really hear any engine or wind noise so it doesn't really feel like you are going that fast.

28 Jul

though less spacious the quality shows over the accord and it does have road noise or ride hard like the 2018 accord.

2 Jul

Better rebound control over dips and road noise is same as more expensive Acura.

28 Apr

It has a clunking noise when you go over bumps that no one can find.

25 Mar

No road noise, no engine noise, and at times I questioned whether it was a hybrid electric because the strong acceleration was so quiet and fuel efficient, despite me having a little fun with the gas pedal.

29 Sep

Now there is a vibration, and a tire sensor is not working.

23 Sep

My car has been making a slight missing noise.

25 May

If you enjoy searching for the cause of rattles and poor fuel economy, this is the car for you. Last.

6 Apr

When the vehicle only had 500 miles it was in the shop for a vibration in the steering wheel.

Its been over 3 years now and I have not had one issue with it other than a new battery and a couple sets of tires due to my lead foot.

18 Aug

I got separate rims with snow tires and they helped a little.

17 May

The face of the wheel is approximately flush with the sidewall of the tire.

6 Sep

Although it is FWD, you will still have a good handling and enough traction as long as you put a good tires on it.

4 Nov

The Pirelli tires did become very noisy around 25,000 miles

12 May

Nobody drives as much as me in a car like this, 140k miles so far and all seems to be very well, still have original brakes and just bought 4 set new tires at 139k miles still in Va. tunnel traffic all day.

8 Jun

The included tires are good for dry and wet conditions,

27 Mar

Other tires were good too.

30 Sep

The Volkswagen Golf GTI is a great car.

3 Mar

Love my Golf GTI.

19 Feb

I would recommend a VW Golf to anyone and can't see myself driving anything different.

8 Aug

This is my third VW golf, I love these cars.

12 May

I tested all the hatch back cars on the market and all Golf models and the GTI S model..stock, is all you need.

29 Dec

but the feel, acceleration, braking, and ride quality are all better in the Mk 7 GTI than the Mk 6 Golf R.

5 Dec

It’s fun to drive the car and it has great features.

8 Jun

Still a lot of fun to drive and and excellent car for road trips as well.

10 Mar

The car is really fun to drive, I am glad with this purchase.

9 Oct

Very reliable 94000 mileage with 0 issues Very comfortable and fun , Handling is great

25 Sep

but are seriously considering replacing it with another one; it has been that much fun and a pleasurable owner experience.

16 Jul

The S model with the 6 speeds give you the best value And the best fun, 90,000 miles with problems free and still look and drive like new

17 May

Modded mildly with an engine tune and suspension upgrades-- made this a fun car for everyday.

4 Apr

The current model rides a lot more smoothly than my earlier Mk5 without sacrificing handling, which is one of the great joys of driving this car.

22 Feb

My GTI has been the most fun to drive!

22 Dec

This is the most practical and fun car you can get for the money.

30 Sep

I went on a 14 hour road trip from Tennessee to Maryland and was comfortable the whole time.

9 Oct

Very reliable 94000 mileage with 0 issues Very comfortable and fun , Handling is great

4 Apr

The comfort, handling, and reliability are way better than the Mk5 that I previously owned.

4 Feb

Comfortable on trips too.

22 Dec

Very quick car and very comfortable.

25 Nov

Comfortable yet stylish interior.

22 Nov

Practical, fun to drive, comfortable, attractive, low maintenance, and trouble-free.

10 Sep

Excellent blend of performance, comfort and economy.

20 Aug

The VW won that competition due to its less racer boy appearance, much nicer interior, not much slower, much more comfortable seats and the absence of scary oversteer when you punch it off the line.

12 Aug

It gets great gas mileage and is very comfortable for longer commutes.

30 Sep

but the electric power steering makes it so that you don’t have to muscle it every turn.

9 Oct

Very reliable 94000 mileage with 0 issues Very comfortable and fun , Handling is great

25 Sep

Cool to look at, go-cart handling and performance, this car puts a smile on your face every time you drive it.

4 Apr

The comfort, handling, and reliability are way better than the Mk5 that I previously owned.

22 Feb

Its peppy acceleration, incredibly good fuel economy (38 mpg on highway), cavernous interior (I transported a full-sized clothes dryer in the back after folding down the rear seats), reliability of ownership, and handling like its on rails.

18 Aug

Great acceleration, awesome handling, stiff ride

13 Nov

Great power and handling.

6 Sep

Although it is FWD, you will still have a good handling and enough traction as long as you put a good tires on it.

24 Aug

Very quick, stops and turns on a dime.

10 Apr

Sometimes when I think I'm going too fast around a turn, the GTI proves me wrong again and again.

12 Nov

I had to replace the cutch due to the salve cilynder failing and polluting the clutch with brake fluid, that was a 2400.00 repair event

8 Aug

N/A

31 Jan

but the the DSG transmission suffered a catustrophic failure at 1692 miles.

15 Jun

although I gave the car only a Good rating overall due to a rough ride at times and some wind noise around the Driver side front window, which coincidentally I also noticed on a used one I test drove.

4 Nov

"Repaired" a few times for a suspension creaking noise that couldn't be diagnosed/fixed.

8 Aug

VW seems to be unable to design a door and side window that doesn't either rattle or have an irritating air leak.

27 Mar

At -2F engine noise "enhanced" by Soundaktor added a sound of ripped speaker to its tune which went away when temperature went up to +3F. 3.

25 Sep

We did have to replace the water pump (covered under our extended warranty) and have had a few minor issues with the push-button start and window controllers

4 Apr

With the warranty it cost me 100 bucks to repair.

10 Sep

but don’t warrant 4 doors for a single driver / commuter.

23 Jun

A great car, with all the amenities looks and drives great with amazing gas mileage.

8 Sep

It has been super reliable very Good gas mileage can't believe how good the gas mileage is and I will be back to this dealership when I get ready for a newer car.

28 May

This car is so spacious I'm loving everything about it the black inside the seats the interior leg room is enough for me good on gas I drove it back from Orlando smooth sailing

9 Mar

Fuel economy in mixed driving is 35-37mpg; pure highway 42 at 70mph.

25 Aug

It is great on gas and pretty sporty for a 4 cylinder.

21 Jan

I would often feel wobbling in mild winds (I'd say like 15+ mph) and have to death grip my steering wheel.

7 Feb

Overall, it’s perfect for someone wanting a low maintenance car with great gas mileage and good longevity

27 Apr

This car is my first car, it’s great on gas mileage, it’s sporty and has anything I could ask for as my first car.

25 Apr

It has a lot of life to it still and the mileage is still very low for it.

4 Jan

Stylish, nice color selection, easy maintenance, Highway MPG 38+ drives smooth, yes!

12 Dec

I was told it's very unusual to get such a serious mechanical problem at such a relatively low mileage.

25 Nov

8 Sep

It has been super reliable very Good gas mileage can't believe how good the gas mileage is and I will be back to this dealership when I get ready for a newer car.

13 Nov

Great commuting vehicle, as i get up to 46 mpg on trips.

31 Mar

I love my car, great gas mileage, roomy enough for me and my family, very dependable.

1 Sep

had 40k miles and currently the only engine issue seems to be valve train rattle on low end of RPMs.

7 May

Cruising on the freeway with the windows shut and the road noise is the least I have encountered in any compact car and many other vehicles.

4 Jan

Biggest complaint would be road noise.

19 Jan

Wind noise, especially on the highway (seems to be a problem with KIAs) 2.

24 Nov

The only dings I give this car are the low profile tires are extremely sensitive to road surfaces and prone to be noisy.

1 Oct

Two specific gripes: Driver's side window has always been a little noisy when shut, more like a ten-year-old car.

14 Sep

They "fixed" the popping noise and a month later it started again.

22 Dec

Ride noise is a little loud,

But it does not. Steering.

26 Oct

Biggest grip on this car is the steering which is electric and hard to get use to.

30 Apr

sticky steering , not centering , real bad hesitation at lower speed , taking off .

23 Jan

Heated steering wheel .

1 Oct

In warm weather on a long trip sometimes the steering wheel will tighten up in the middle, making it hard to make the minor unconscious adjustments you make on a straight expressway.

14 Sep

If there is a problem, especially something major, such as STEERING, you would think they would say "ok, lets get it fixed.

4 Jul

I will start with one complaint, the seats on the model with full leather and ventilated seats are a bit stiff, they do have power lumbar support.

1 Sep

One more thing I dislike, the suspension is very stiff when you hit larger bumps, the rear end actually tries to swing out from under you.

1 Oct

Update, April, 2020: The noise from one window and stiff steering in warm weather remain our gripes with our specific car.

8 Aug

However, know that the stiffer suspension disallows this car from being a comfortable highway cruiser when the pavement gets dicey. Nevertheless, if you're in the market for a fun-to-drive hatchback with space for 4 (not just seating,

no problems with 50000 km tire wear is very good with the all wheel drive and no torque steer when driving the car hard.

7 Jan

I have equipped my VW with one of the best winter weather tires available which definitely helped.

24 Apr

It corners nicely, and being 4wd it never scares and the tires let you know when you're on edge and about to break traction.

25 Nov

Tires are the Pirelli A/S Nero's, and will be replaced with a better A/S when these are done.

22 Jun

the golf R has a light feel when driving, sharp handling, quick turn in with the rear of the car changing direction quickly.

11 Mar

But I've owed a v6 firebird and a 74 small block Camaro, and I like the golf r more than the big v8.

28 Nov

(Everyone else thinks it's just a regular Golf.)

7 Jan

I love my preowned Golf R, it is comfortable and stylish while still having plenty of power for spirited driving in backroads.

1 Aug

The 2012-2013 Golf R is a great car for those wanting something fun and practical, while also not breaking the bank in the process.

17 Nov

The Golf isn't the fastest car I've driven,

24 Apr

Enter the Golf R. I've always enjoyed the practicality that hatchbacks offer and there are reasons why Golfs have sold so well.

6 Dec

The Golf R is a practical sportscar for everyday driving.

22 Jun

the car is very good in corners and is stable.

28 Nov

Excellent performance and handling, and the hatchback gives it good utility too.

27 Feb

This car is super fast, handles fantastic and the all wheel drive is icing on the cake.

The 2012-2013 Golf R is a great car for those wanting something fun and practical, while also not breaking the bank in the process.

1 Apr

Fun car to daily and have fun with.

16 May

This is a driver's car for old school manual transmission enthusiasts that enjoy *the art* of driving, more than just shaving .5 seconds off 0-60 that a DSG would give you.

17 Nov

but it is best as a fun commuter that can pass on a moment's notice while keeping 4 people in comfort.

6 Dec

Its a whole lot of fun to drive with just the right amount of power at 256hp.

22 Jun

power is very good from idle to red line.

3 Sep

The clutch is barely strong enough to manage stock power levels, and even with the APR stage 1 stock tune I noticed some occasional minor slippage in higher gears, no big deal really.

Pretty quiet unless you have non standard tires, wheels or intake/exhaust.

5 Nov

I've had the new tires rotated and re-balanced once with an alignment and it is now remarkably true and clean on the road.

1 Jun

Overall, I believe the Rabbit (or Golf as it is now badged) is a great value.

16 Apr

Have always love the lines of the Golf's vs other hatches on the market.

26 Jan

This is the US version of the Golf V. The best thing is not seeing another one every single day!! !

12 Oct

This is our second Golf (had 2003 Golf IV before) and it by far exceeded our expectations.

9 Feb

The standard features are so plentiful, the Golf makes a joke out of any Honda or Toyota. I call mine (when I'm not using his name) a Golf, because the sticker printed in my owner's manual says, "2007 Volkswagen Golf."

26 Nov

What a performance difference to my old Golf III!

5 Nov

The five cylinder 2.5L engine over powers the car to impressive acceleration and yet it gets 30 mpg on the highway and 23 - 27 in town depending on whether the AC is drawn on and the driving aggressive.

27 Mar

Great gas mileage.

1 Feb

This car was sporty and got decent gas mileage.

22 Feb

Amazing mileage and reliability.

9 Jul

Has nice low end torque and a pretty nice power band beginning about 2800 rpm's.

1 Jun

All around mileage is about 25 mpg, which is decent,

1 Jul

It's great on MPG, the air is good.

22 Sep

The epa estimates are lower than what my actual mileage has been, 25 city 32 highway, if there's anything Volkswagen could do better, someone tell me what it is.

27 Mar

GREAT GASS MILAGE!!!

26 Nov

Gas mileage is also much worse then older generation Golfs, it more like a GTI now.

28 Jan

but there's tons of torque and it's fun to drive.

19 Jun

Agile handling and quick & fun drive!

13 May

Otherwise it's fun to drive, incredibly practical, and despite being 6"5' tall, I fit with room to spare.

9 Jul

Fun to Drive with wider tires than stock.

2 Jul

Very good millage and over the life of the car, I have put one set of tires and 3 batteries.

11 Jul

Brakes are okay, road grip is basic and tire size is tiny as well.

4 Aug

The rear tires are just along for the ride!

10 Jul

Starts and runs every time :) Update July 2017 140,000 and still running strong, new tires this year and new battery.

28 Jan

No repairs whatsoever, other than new tires every 50K, and a belt change at mile 100K.

15 Sep

For its size, it rides well, handles decent, does well in winter (with good tires), has a functional and comfortable interior, is easy to service (oil changes) and the exterior looks good.

29 Dec

I don't recommend it as a family sedan though, unless you have snow tires on it, it slides everywhere in the winter, the car's too light for decent winter driving.

17 Apr

It has the optional 15" tires, just to let you know.

10 Feb

(2)Is real light & hydroplanes on H2O and tricky on snow even with 4 winter tires.

28 Oct

It's almost like driving a toy car or a golf cart.

6 Jun

It is more sporty than my old VW Golf!

4 Apr

Performance: The Yaris gives you the feeling that you are in a golf cart and keeping up with normal/slow traffic is tough, with 106 hp, you will not pass anyone who dosent slow down for you!

Great on gas if you don't use the A/C!

12 Mar

Great gas mileage, great for city living due to its size, and also works just fine for long distance trips.

3 Feb

I paid about $13500 for this car brand new and spend more than that in gas by now.

27 Aug

Fuel efficient, spacious, reliable, inexpensive, few trips to the mechanic over 11 years.

29 Apr

I purchased this car to saved on gas while commuting when gas price was reaching over $4 per gallon.

Great gas saver!

5 Jan

Good running car great on gas been using it as a daily driver for 6months car has great features and has nice stereo

5 Jan

The most important is the gas money I save.

4 Dec

It’s so easy to turn, to park, it’s a great car, and you can laugh at all the huge cars out there at the pump costing $$$ on gas.

3 Dec

12 Mar

Great gas mileage, great for city living due to its size, and also works just fine for long distance trips.

3 Feb

I've tracked almost all of my MPG in a spreadsheet and while I've seen the performance decrease somewhat, it was rock solid upper 30s in summer, even 40s when I didn't drive as aggressively, and upper 20s to low 30s in Wisconsin winters.

23 Feb

35 MPG and super practical.

16 Nov

What it does do is fantastic fuel mileage and amazing reliability.

6 Mar

Therefore, in my opinion, this car is very fun and it is a joy to drive the 2007 Toyota Yaris in my daily commute.

24 Jul

but AC but its actualy fun to drive and looks good.

4 Feb

It's simple, no nonsense, it gets me from A to B and I have fun doing it.

16 Nov

Still does not burn or leak a drop of oil, interior is still rattle free, paint still looks good, and it still handles and drives like the day I bought it.

3 Jul

Road noise is considerable, sure,

10 Jun

There is a slight rattle to the engine, likely a motor mount issue,

11 Mar

The only issue I had in regards to ride was when it was windy, the car got pushed around a little, and also the road noise is really loud.

26 Dec

Cheap to own cons, minor engine noise (barely notice OCD) due to poor sound proofing of firewall.

28 Oct

but the plastics still rattle like crazy.

24 Jul

I plan on doing a few minor mods to it like installing some insulation under the carpet and doors to reduce noise levels, it isnt too bad

28 Jan

but deep down I'm hoping that it won't because I'm itching to get into a nice car that doesn't "rattle" when traveling at 80 mph.

2 Jan

Not even a vibration while moving.

16 Aug

Only probs: prominent road noise in cabin & difficult to retrieve things that have slid under the seat.

I had one weird slip of the transmission once as it doesn't always kick down into passing gear smoothly and replaced the alternator along with the usual brakes and such,

26 Mar

Changed the brake pads -- guess I will need to take Yuri to the Toyota Dealer to shut off the light.

21 Dec

Have not even had to replace the brakes.

26 Nov

The brakes are terrible.

16 Apr

The best thing to do before driving this car is to start the engine, put it on drive, hold the brake and wait for one or even 2 minutes like this.

3 Feb

I had one weird slip of the transmission once as it doesn't always kick down into passing gear smoothly and replaced the alternator along with the usual brakes and such,

15 Feb

I was not used to the high seat and low gear shift as the Honda Civic SI we had the shift was loated where the AC instruments are on this Yaris.

3 Aug

even though this car is a bit sluggish off the line, it makes up for it in second and third gear and I have to slow down to keep from going too fast at 60 to 80 mph.

20 inch tires ride a bit rougher than we like, and we would've preferred the 19 inchers that come on lower trim lines,

Extra features like blue backlighting at night, backup cam, remote rear gate, smart key, rear climate control, mirror levelers, garage door remote, touch screen nav, bluetooth, tire press monitor are nice touch.

Because the spare tire is under the car, versus in the trunk, the third row seats easily fold flat with the tug of a strap and one smooth movement.

BIg enough to handle two golf bags and enough luggage for two adults for two weeks without lowering the second-row setbacks.

Only minor issues besides the quick wearing tires--The rear view mirror rattles more than expected (although some of that may be due to rough roads).

14 Feb

gauge. The trip computer has no range position,So you had better not let it get too low.The car also makes lots of noises and does not seem to have the build quality of other Toyotas.A bit of a rattle trap.

2 Sep

Only complaint is an annoying rattle.

8 Mar

Purchased new in Oct, my 2007 Prius has had continual issues from electrical to rattles in the driver's door panel and now in the dashboard that they cannot seem to quiet.

29 Jun

The Touring model has good handling (little body lean on turns) and is fun to drive. However, it rides much like an economy car (a bit road noisy and you can definitely feel bumps, RR tracks, etc.)

8 Feb

Lights go off by themselves!!!

12 Sep

Headlights blew out on a regular basis and were expensive to fix.

19 Feb

N/A

22 Aug

However within a month both water pumps went out and car still has intermittent trouble with turning on and off, dashboard lights coming and going, etc.

1 Feb

Lots of space Cam not hear the engine running, I have to rap the gas at a stop light to make sure it's running.

24 Jun

Toyota also acts like this headlight problem does not exist.

2 May

I am also concerned that the dealer suggested we continue to drive the vehicle without further repair despite the check engine warning light.

22 Jan

110,000 miles just 1 issue (headlights -fixed free of charge) 2007 touring model is small for my 75" height Not ideal for really long trips and tall backseat passengers.

25 Jul

but I am a little angry at toyota for making it so hard to change headlights, I had to bay a few hundred because the whole front bumper needs to be taken off to get to the HID lights on the touring model.

17 Feb

Only other significant replacement was the HID headlamps (known issue with this model year), which began failing near the 70,000 mile point.

22 Aug

N/A

21 Dec

but after reaching warranty limit engine will start to guzzle oil, if you have oil stock your set otherwise choose anything other than toyota, look onlinefor the many issues this model year has

23 Feb

Many of the issues occurred after the warranty had expired and Toyota refused to do anything about the problems despite the fact that the issues were very widespread and obviously the result of faulty manufacturing/quality control.

9 Nov

The paint just peels off of my front bumper and because the territory rep won't approve fixing it (even tho it was still under warranty) they won't fix it.

15 May

I am making a huge payment on a car that I paid almost $2,750 in gap insurance and extended waranty for which I had justified by anticipating getting over 50 MPG per window sticker.

22 Jul

I replaced the hybrid battery at 511,000 and the transmission is the original.minimal maintenance I drive it my myself on the high occupancy lane and I save 1.5 gours, commuting time each day.

17 Oct

they only sell a complete transmission (gears and motor) for $3,500 and it costs $2,000 to install it.

2 May

I am concerned that the transmission failed so prematurely and I suspect that other, as yet undiagnosed, engine failures may be the cause.

11 Apr

I dislike the reverse back alarm, short leg room and the delay to shift into gear.

9 Oct

Its systems work so seemlessly, shifting back and forth from electric to gas and sometimes both, I am amazed.

(I have good tires and a A AA CARD).

25 Oct

One of the best handling cars, easy on brakes, tires etc Cheap to maintain.

6 May

Next biggest expense is tires simply because the car encourages you to drive like that.

6 Mar

Handles well (with winter tires) on snow-covered roads less than six inches deep, even better (with performance tires) on dry pavement.

5 Jun

I do wish there was some better answer for spare than Fix a Flat and run flat tires.

23 Feb

but slapped on some upgraded 17" alloy wheels, and great tires ( Michelin Pilot Super Sport), and handling actually improves dramatically - didn't think that was possible.

29 Nov

Excellent cornering-feels like tires glued to the road.

20 May

I put 4 snow tires on it and it goes like a champ.

21 Feb

Road noise comes through the wheel wells, and the tires throw up little pebbles which create noise.

16 Nov

I took it to about 10 autocross events and it performed very well on the OEM street tires.

6 May

Things like golf clubs, skateboards, rifles, overhead compartment sized luggage or lots of groceries fit nicely,

When I touch the brakes the rear lights come on and so does my dash lights and the rear wiper.

14 Oct

but squeaky interior.

13 Feb

Should be a chain or gear with or without the extra noise.

16 Sep

Interior is very noisy especially on a rough road.

7 Jan

Power steering pump slaves and makes noise on low idle tight turns.

28 May

A few days ago I put 19 inch OEM wheels + new summer tires on it, man, it rocks now.

29 Jun

Also Tire pressure feature on Dash screen always seems to register the same pressure even after you inflate tires more.

19 Feb

I have the 19" with sport tires which account for a very bumpy ride.

7 Aug

However the 18 inch all season tires are better matched for my climate and driving.

3 Jun

Five golfers and five bags in the trunk travel in style.

31 Mar

the truck is huge, i can place 4 golf bags and still have room for luggage.

29 Jan

And there is room for 4 bags and 4 golfers in style.

3 Apr

And what a smooth ride.

21 Oct

It rides so Smooth and the Transmission shifts without any hesitstation..

30 Oct

The ride and performance and features are great in the car,

5 Jan

It is the best riding, best handling, most responsive car I've ever driven in a long series of BMW-7, Jaguar XK, MB S-Class and other assorted vehicles I've owned.

28 Jun

This is a beautiful car and a sheer joy to drive and ride in --

27 Jan

It has great power and a great ride even with the 19" wheels.

25 Dec

The ride is akin to going down the road in your living room with total feel of the road.

3 Jun

Ride is the best ever.

13 May

very very nice ride

2 May

I love a big ride, but this one is so large that Parktronic should be standard.

21 Oct

It is great on gas and gets up on the Highway.. Now let's talk about the spacious interior..

30 Dec

Aside from my preference for the exterior body style of the A8, the performance and interior on the A8 are far better than the competition in my opinion.

11 Apr

Beautiful exterior, stunning interior (no one does interiors like Audi), surprising performance for a car of this size, limo-like back seat, impressive innovations like the solar sunroof.

28 Aug

It is a technological wonder mechanically and the interior is darn near a work of art.

14 Jun

I live in my car, so it was important to have one that was spectacular inside as well as out.

23 Jun

The interior finish and little touches all over the cabin demonstrate the incredible attention to detail that BMW or Mercedes can't even begin to dream off.

25 Dec

The engine is fearsome, the exterior wonderful and the interior handsome beyond compare.

10 Nov

The LS 430 was too stodgy looking, the X5 interior kludgy, and the Toureg was too funny looking for my taste.

31 Mar

The beautiful interior, especially the dash was the best selling point.

19 Feb

great interior ergonomics.

27 Apr

I have owned it for 4 years and the car has been a joy to drive.

28 May

It is a lot of car for the money and very much fun to

18 Feb

Great handling, fun to drive.

28 Jun

Sound like fun??? ?

27 Jan

It is a true pleasure to drive.

17 Oct

This is a great care to look at and it can be fun to drive.

7 Jun

A real all around pleasure - from both comfort and fun to drive perspectives.

5 Mar

a fun car to drive and in my opinion one of the best looking cars on the road today.

5 Mar

The ease of use of the "knob" makes using all of the resources this car has available a joy to use.

Examples of necessary repairs are, replacing starter cost $992.16, dysfunctional remote which has had batteries replaced 5 times.

5 Jan

The battery can't be charged, can't be installed outside a dealer who mates it to the car via computer. Seems its electronics are so complex that the engineers wanted to give it a 24-volt system,

29 Jun

but still a little sticky Sometimes the lights stay on when the car is not locked and drains the battery.

28 Jun

Alarm system, MMI, running down the battery, trunk closer bent the trunk lid (Audi said it couldn't happen and wouldn't replace), starter module, air bags failed (twice), transmission.

23 May

MMI has constantly failed, including running down the battery forcing a tow job.

21 May

Battery is in the trunk if you need to jump it.

11 Apr

Not even the radio works without it.

17 Oct

but the nav system is difficult to operate and that pop up screen to control the radio sucks.

7 Jul

To tune the radio the driver needs to take his eyes off the road.

3 Jun

Shortcomings: Driver's seat bolsters are a little tight, and no satellite radio available when I purchased.

10 Dec

Interestingly, I have had major mechanical issues - transmission, suspension, cooling system and more.

28 Jun

Alarm system, MMI, running down the battery, trunk closer bent the trunk lid (Audi said it couldn't happen and wouldn't replace), starter module, air bags failed (twice), transmission.

15 Nov

The car has computer and transmission problems which Audi will not stand behind.

17 Oct

Unfortunately, Audi never got the transmission down.

12 Apr

but with a couple of minor annoyances---shifting from first to second can be a bit jerky on occasion, and speedometer consistently overregisters by a little over 5 % (odometer also overregisters, by 1--2%).

5 Mar

The engine and transmission are a rush to push, the 6 speed makes this car feel like something much smaller.

11 Apr

Radio turned itself on, wipers appeared at random on a sunny day-- all of the gremlins that were to be excised from my A8 were also present in a brand new car.
