It is a very comfortable ride except for the non stop irritating squeaking noise that no one can seem to find and repair.

13 Aug

The 2018 model is exponentially better in three critical ways; sound (insulation from road noise/air noise, even at 80+mph), road manners, and acceleration.

More power and less noise.

30 Aug

Well, something happened.. the transmission failed.

21 Feb

1) Air bags recalls 2) Doors recall 3) Defective driver door lock 4) Defective auto lock/unlock I am really doubting the quality and thinking to replace all my Honda vehicles.

17 Jan

At a light, stopping engages the idle stop which shuts off the engine, a setting that impossibly must be disabled everytime you start the car.

31 Jul

Great sound, enough room for my dogs to relax, spare tire with pump.

19 Apr

I've driven it throughout one winter season and I had no problems with traction on ice and snow (mind you, I purchased a brand new set of good winter tires), the all wheel drive system is doing its thing and finding grip when needed.

This car is getting good gas mileage and I love the practicality of it, as well as the exterior appearance.

14 Sep

It is reliable vehicle, well built, extremely comfortable, great on gas mileage, and has a great warranty plan.

4 Mar

The gas mileage is good also.

28 Feb

It meets all of my needs as far as comfort, fuel economy and capacity to hold lots of "stuff", whether moving, traveling or shopping.

28 Jan

Everything about the car is great size color gas mileage comfort.

24 Jan

It’s decent on fuel mileage and I have enough room for my family of 4.

23 Dec

It does so well in the snow with the 4 wheel drive lock feature!

27 Sep

It has so many features I’m still figuring them out!

24 Aug

Love this vehicle.. great looks it has a lot of features( blind spot detection, Bluetooth, etc)and the 1.6l turbo has plenty of power.

11 May

Vehicle is excellent in ride, performance, safety, room, looks and options,

16 Dec

High tech features with an 8” LED screen, Apple CarPlay, built in navigation, and hands free tech.

16 Jul

This is a great vehicle with all its amenities.

23 Mar

Seats have plenty of adjustment options and there’s lots of leg room.

11 Dec

The 2017 Tucson is a vastly improved model, with a much smoother ride and features like Bluetooth, charge ports for electronics, options for multiple radio stations and a one-touch system to raise and lower the back seats.

12 Oct

It has the duel clutch transmission and has problems in 1st and 2nd gear.

24 Aug

The DCT trans is a little quirky compared to a regular automatic trans

30 Jul

The transmission has many issues.

26 Jun

dangerous transmission when shifting, stalls sometime when turning AND Hyundai WILL Not FIX IT.

24 Jun

Update: There were some software updates Hyundai provided regarding the transmission and that did improve things dramatically. While I feel like the acceleration is better than most of the SUV/Crossovers I test drove, it still doesn't "GO!"

24 Jan

I hear the turbo transmission is crap so stay away from that.

30 Sep

I am a little concerned about the hesitation when pulling out due to the turbo competing with the transmission.

2 Sep

I owned this car.I could not stand the way the transmission worked. You didn’t know how the car would shift at a light or into reverse.Hyundi didn’t help at all

14 Aug

Long story short, the clutch and transmission was completely replaced due to an issue.

10 Oct

Now onto the thing i HATE about this car, the transmission, its shifts like garbage on low gears it jerks really badly and in occasions after a short stop car wont accelerate right away, it lacks power at is has a small engine for the size of the car.

Way better traction in those situations than any of the other vehicles we've had (Silverado not 4x4, Impala fwd, Malibu fwd, Montana van, Town & Country van). .

30 Sep

Good safety features, radio shuts off if seat belts not secure on person in seat, head lights can be on all the time to shine when darker outside during daylight. Seems roomy (remember I downsized from a mini van!)

28 Jan

I recently just put tires & brakes on it not bad for almost 60.000 miles & replaced the battery last year so outside of normal mantaince it’s a pretty reliable small suv.

The ride is soft enough even with low pro mounted 18' tires, the performance is best in class,

12 Jun

Other than the routine oil change and tire rotation I have not had any other repairs made to the car.

26 Aug

I am a good driver and had the tires rotated and balanced all the time.

There is also abnormal tire wear (alignment was checked) and the backup camera dropped.

The one I have, the paint is coming off in pieces around the windshield and the front fender has no clear coat,( very dull).

21 Feb

Windshield whipper motors failed 300$ to fix.

17 Aug

3 1/2 years and 37,000 miles later the molding around the windshield has dry rotted, the carpet in the back is thinning, my child car seats have caused wear to the back seat, the back wiper goes on and off on it's own.

9 Jan

Downsides: there is less room in the back seats than the Honda, it doesn't have a moon roof, and the windshield wiper controls are upside down.

29 Jan

If you want to change it, you will have to remove other parts of the car (either the air filter assembly on the upper area of the windshield wipers, and a manafold.

7 Sep

Also, the front windshield allows for a perfect view out of the car and leaves.

26 Aug

I also get a wind noise from the windshield when traveling greater than 60 mph.

8 Aug

Mine went a little further when all the screens went black and the window washers came on.

8 Nov

but wheel baring so noise Toyota need fix all Prius part wheel baring it like recall vehicle I have Prius last 6 years

13 Oct

There are only two flaws with the Prius: large blindspots in the back and the disappointing use of plastics in the cabin, which rattle around at high speeds, slight bumps, and open windows.

16 Sep

The MPG isn't worth the poor ride and noise.

30 Apr

Compared to newer models road noise the only downside.

23 May

HOWEVER, the tire noise and wind noise will wear you down and a 800 mile trip will seem like a 1000 mile trip!

18 Apr

The only issue I had was road noise which I did not notice on good roads.

13 Nov

More power with less noise and improved mpg (52 vs 47).

27 May

Just one loud, continuous noise.

5 Jan

Squeaks and rattles abound from just about everywhere.

21 Jan

So potentially $3k plus for a brake repair.

11 Jan

The brakes are a little touchy at times

2 Jan

Bit different when it comes to the brakes of the car.

27 Jan

Oil change and brake pads are almost non-existence on this vehicle as it's barely used and the regenerative braking system would recharge your hybrid battery on the go as you slow your vehicle down.

19 Apr

14 Jul

It is common for the brakes to act up and it cost 3000 to have the brake module replaced.

27 May

Then the starter battery died at day care which I knew we would have to replace someday, that was $275, except after it was replaced, the horn goes off when the E brake is on.

28 Nov

Well, my brakes just had to be replaced for the first time at 135,000 miles.

There is only one thing the Prius needs and that is battery support.

Don't worry about traction battery, 15+ years history of no major issues.

Many owners fail to recognize they are running out of oil and loose the engine.

23 Mar

In the winter, make sure the heat temp is adjusted as the gas engine warms up, otherwise the gas motor will not shut off.

The engine and electric traction motor work well and the engine starting and stop is relatively unnoticed.

The 'regenerative' braking system is so unreliable, that driving it over uneven road surfaces, the brakes fail and the car keeps moving.

14 Aug

but not much room quite small mini van but not enough room for my dogs good van for running around

28 Apr

The concept of a mini-minivan was pretty genius I think because you get the third row of seats without all the extra space and much better gas mileage and overall cost of a standard minivan.

3 Sep

I loved my Nissan Axxess Van - possibly the most perfect mini-van ever made - extremely easy for elderly and infirmed to get in and out of - they should have made them forever!

30 Jul

Tires wear fast as a tire tech stated they put a van on a car chassie that sits low so they see tire wear.

16 May

The minivan-styled sliding doors are very easy to use - unlike most larger minivans.

26 Apr

I do about 60/40 highway to city driving, so this is awesome compared to my previous vans.

8 Mar

I like how it doesn't really look like a minivan

29 Apr

We looked at all the other mini vans and just didn't need, or like, the extra size and price in most cases.

27 Aug

The lower profile tires look nice

8 May

..tires 17 inch are hard to find at a good price and wear easily.

7 Sep

This is a great vehicle if you do not do a lot of driving and wear out the cheap tires and tow a lot of weight.

30 Jul

So get good tire with mileage waranty and you'll be fine.

6 Apr

The medium profile tires were the first thing that we noticed.

We highly recommend it for families that do not want a minivan (been there done that)

27 Feb

Overall I think this is great vehicle for a family that dose not want to buy a dreaded Mini Van.

14 Nov

but enjoyed the feel of being higher up that a van provided.

5 Sep

And it's no minivan that is more of an appliance than a fun to drive vehicle.

7 Apr

I personally love the fact that there is no 3rd seat- after 4 mini-vans, I now feel like I'm driving a Lexus-for a lot less!

15 Feb

The breaks go out quickly as well as the rotors due to the massive 20 inch tires.

29 Feb

The tires also are stickier than the oem, so expect mpg to drop.

30 Nov

I change tires that were recommended in the Toyota forums and they did not help at all!

14 Jul

Love the 20 inch wheels, hate buying tires for them.

19 Sep

Looks ahead of it time with 20 inch tires.

21 Aug

Additionally, the ride is less comfortable with Bridgestone Dueler tires.

14 Jan

Mine came with great Michelin tires.

17 Dec

Unlike comments made by "professional" writers, the larger tires not only make the vehicle look good, they help in both steering and overall ride.

13 Dec

Love my 20-inch tires, even though they say they affect the ride and are costly,

14 May

Ride was hard with the 20 inchers until I checked the tires(42lbs) Bled to 34lbs.

15 Mar

The entire inside of the car has to be my favorite part!

27 Sep

It has too much style in the interior, for that title.

29 Feb

The interior is large enough for grown men, the surfaces are stain repellent-so fabric still looks great, even after schlepping a dog and a 9 yo.

14 Dec

next the rattle it the steering column started getting loud, I can hear it on the highway now.

16 Jun

On the positive side, the ivory matches the dogs' fur so THAT doesn't show; 2. offer a standard moonroof -- I decided against the panoramic glass roof as it doesn't open over the back-seat passengers so what's the point (my humble opinion).

Pirelli tires really improve sporty handling.

18 Nov

The manual transmission ensures more power reaches the wheels; you can spin the tires easily should you be inclined to, and you'll get a nice chirp from the tires with high rpm shifts.

27 Apr

When going up small hills the transmission will not shift up and jerks when it does shift.

14 Apr

Second, the transmission makes me crazy. From a rolling start, the transmission doesn't upshift quickly enough from first to second, resulting in an awkward "pull."
