This suv would not be half bad except for the horrible wind noise front passenger.

The top-of-the-line sound system in my platinum limited trim has a lot of vibration at the back and is xxxx poor compared to my 2005 and 2006 Range Rovers.

9 Jan

Have had issues since Day 1 with wind noise and whistling above 40mph on both Front Driver and Passenger Side door windows.

26 Apr

Noise in rear end.

21 Jan

Rattling noise coming from rear right corner like if something is loose.

10 Jan

but steering doesn’t give any feedback, suspension makes much more noise than previous one.

27 Feb

The steering has very little feel, the throttle response is too soft, and the transmission is slow to downshift and quick to upshift.

8 May

The 8-speed transmission has a little difficulty finding the right gear, altho it is superior to CVT.

26 Jan

Espect some problem whit your transmission I have a 2017 hardly drive it 8,300 mile they told me they have to chainge the transmission so call relaible vehicles they just lost 1 more customers won't buy a Toyota good by for ever .

7000 miles first transmission went out.

16 Feb

After many days and nights of stress dealing with Toyota (Corporate and Westport dealership) the problem was diagnosed as needing a new transmission.

The transmission problem occurred at 8,253 miles, lucky for my wife, she was at a red light when the transmission failed and nobody was injured.

Don't buy the Toyota highlander 2017 xle, 3 rd row small, they make 3rd row as baby sit, not 3rd row seats are same like middle row, they save money on 3rd row seats, headlights are no LED , as 37000 usd car should have LED light.

8 Jan

The warning lights and beepers are distracting and at times go off when other vehicles are not close or within the collision zone, especially in parking lots.

18 Dec

They could get away with the side sensor lane changing lights in mirrors and the rear end collision avoidance and it would be fine.

7 Dec

(5) The feature that shuts down the engine while at a stop light is very agitating and should be a option to either always on or always off.

3 Dec

I have been very disappointed with this car and the only things I like in it are the variable speed cool seats and the blind spot monitoring lights.

Radio does not give a clear sound in most places and goes in and out of sound .

26 Apr

Navigation and radio system requires a long reach and is dangerous to operate when driving because it requires too much time and concentration.

2 Dec

but there has been 2 electrical problems, 1st day it went into limp mode and at 8000 miles the radio died.
