but for me it looks amazing, I also liked the base Impreza hatch interior though.

29 Jan

It feels a lot like my first car, a 1996 Impreza,

4 Nov

: “check “ you need the room and versatility of a four door sedan.

9 May

The WRX to me has the right balance for a performance sports sedan.

12 Jan

The FA20DIT engine is the best engine youll find in an economy sports sedan.

13 Feb

I love the 2020 Subaru WRX - the car is the perfect balance of power and handling.

25 Oct

The power, handling and sound on my WRX is awesome

15 Oct

The WRX is a great, very fun car.

18 Sep

Anyway, the WRX is definitely fun to drive, it's relatively comfortable, and I definitely appreciate the acceleration on the highway.

6 Sep

Coming from a WRX I was very pleased with the upgrade, its incredible how everything about the car is familiar yet sooo much nicer in the STi.

21 Aug

My WRX is my daily driver and has been real fun to drive.

22 Jul

I personally liked WRX turbo whine better.

10 Jul

My 2019 wrx is a great car to drive performance is great and the handling is amazing.

9 May

The WRX to me has the right balance for a performance sports sedan.

28 Feb

I reccomend Subaru, and the WRX & STI specifically, to anyone looking to have a sweet daily ride.

12 Mar

The road noise people complain about doesn't bug me it is just the transmission issue.

4 Feb

18 Oct

Wish Subaru would add a bit of sound materials to quite the road noise.

21 Aug

The only other issue is road noise in the interior, partially I think it might be the OEM tires that come standard.

22 Jul

It feels more direct in terms of engagement and also, vibrations.

22 Jun

Tons of road and wind noise.

8 Mar

The car is a rough ride and noisy,

12 Mar

It doesn't "shift" when needed even when letting off the gas it stays revved up almost to the point of redlining.

28 Dec

No Autopilot, No Adaptive Cruise Control and mine with No Automatic Transmission!!

15 Dec

Did have a minor transmission leak that dealership fixed at no cost with warranty.

16 Jul

The aggressive gearing paired with the powerband means this is a car that you have to shift often, which is a joy with the precise 6 Speed (the only available transmission).

6 Jul

but do have some concerns regarding its reliability based on what I've heard of others experience with this type of transmission.

29 Jan

This transmission is not the easiest in the world.

15 Jan

When shifting it makes an audible sound which is extremely satisfying.

I just bought the Impreza after researching and finding it was supposed to be a very reliable car.

27 Aug

The Impreza also needs more horse power and torque.

Overall Rating ================================ The 2017 Subaru Impreza Limited Sedan has many great features

17 Feb

I love the way my Subaru Impreza handles in the snow.

9 Oct

I went out and bought another Subaru Impreza because my sons safety is so important to me.

13 Jul

The interior space is fantastic, and the hatchback is an improvement over past impreza hatchbacks.

4 Jul

The Impreza drives a little better with higher quality tires

9 Jun

but ride was too rough so tried a red Impreza hatchback premium with moonroof. WOW!

8 Mar

Having traded in a late model Cadillac with a V8 engine, I feel confidant in driving the Impreza with comfort, not only in the City

17 Oct

With the 4 wheel drive being standard on all Subaru vehicles if you live in a state with snow in the winter then you won't find a better small sedan for the money!

Overall Rating ================================ The 2017 Subaru Impreza Limited Sedan has many great features

18 Jan

I’m confident anyone looking for a small sedan will love this car.

17 Jan

I just loved their deep cherry red color and the car in sedan looks superb.

9 Oct

This is a great family car, with all the amenities you could want in a sedan while remaining affordable.

12 Oct

Subaru needs to make a WRX hatchback again. NEEDS.

20 Jul

The eyesight system works perfectly and is something you might expect only on a much more expensive car.

27 Aug

If I wanted a better audio system, sun roof, blind spot monitoring, navigation, those would all be EXTRA upgrades that cost thousands of dollars (and yes, I understand things like navigation are always extra).

18 Feb

So $500 deductible twice (total $900 to repair), I cannot afford to keep replacing and with eyesight system, I can’t get a generic heavy duty glass installed.

The CVT Transmission in the Impreza is the worst operating system I've ever driven.

19 May

N/A

20 Jul

It has a hard time accelerating from standstill for a car of it's size, with a noticeable delay from the CVT, which feels sluggish and unrefined.

12 Jul

Poor maneuverability and very poor acceleration.

19 Sep

It stalls during acceleration. Horrible!!

25 Jul

Cons - I wish it could accelerate faster, it could use a some more horsepower.

19 Feb

but if acceleration is so poor that you have to have advanced planning to change lanes in highways or merging, makes it on the unsafe side.

9 Feb

Acceleration may feel slightly lacking at first,

31 Dec

I have read a ton of research reports complaining about the acceleration problems.

9 Oct

It's a smooth ride which could use a little more of a pick me up as far as acceleration goes

13 Jul

but it likes to lock the torque converter early and hold the engine at 1150 rpm if you don’t try to accelerate hard, which makes it feel slow, but when you mash it like you mean it, the cvt is very responsive and it will get up and go.

18 Jan

Slow out of the gate, and very jerky / sluggish acceleration.

6 Jan

Radio controls are annoying and seem outdated - software needs a major update.

12 Feb

The only bad thing I have to say about Subaru is they get terrible radio reception.

7 Jan

don't buy one unless you don't want to use the radio or map systems, if you don't use these then i would recommend you drive along in silence peacefully.

14 Dec

With good snow tires, it handles reasonably ok in snow, which is why it got three stars rather than two.The radio has NEVER shut off --read the manual, doesn't work.

6 Jul

I really dislike the Sirius radio, AT 5300 miles the mpg is good, The front seats are not comfortable, and it dificult getting in and out.

20 Jul

I take it for regular maintenance and checkups often, and the technicians have not been able to find the cause of the loud creaks and have determined that it is just in the vehicle's design and i will just have to deal with the noise.

14 Sep

Kinda bumpy and noisy depends on the road.

23 Apr

Highway noise is minimal.

18 Apr

the cvt is a little noisy between 35 and 45 mph

8 Jan

At around 28,000 miles, made tapping noise.

23 Nov

The dash rattles with the A and B pillar rattling also.

16 Apr

My 2019 wrx is a great car to drive performance is great and the handling is amazing.

16 Feb

When I broke everything down, the WRX simply gave me the most perks for the money.

7 Jan

The WRX shines on winding roads and wants to be pushed; If you're a car enthusiast and have a family, then this is a great option.

21 Nov

I have 2 2004 cars and one is a 2005 Subaru STI and never experienced any of this issue with the WRX LTD.

18 Mar

I would even go as far as to choose a WRX over a WRX STI because of the reliability and refinement this generation of motor has over the STI's 10-year old power plant.

21 Feb

WRX 6 speed, Anniversary model, very responsive handles well in all cornering situations.

15 Feb

The WRX is a vastly improved version of a 60's muscle car.

15 Feb

Overall the 2018 WRX has some great features that were improved upon from previous models.

15 Jan

When shifting it makes an audible sound which is extremely satisfying.

12 Jan

The revs stick when shifting from first to second, there is no turbo spool in first unless you are near 6000 RPM, and the dumb MPG meter on the dash.

8 Sep

It passed almost 8 months after my transmission problem, it is never accured again,

5 Jun

The only thing I'm not liking is the shifting, clutch catch point, and the sloppy throttle response.

21 Nov

Gas tank keeps freezing, again when it snows, just a little cold temp outside and it always happens every time.

19 Jun

And the interior gets a lot of dirt coming out of the vents,so I actually have a cloth to clean the dash almost every day.Once you start installing aftermarket parts,is hard to stop.

8 Sep

23 Apr

The stereo system sounds better than the system in our 2016 Impreza, and the manual rear hatch door pops up with such vigor, the automatic rear hatch door opener isn't missed by my wife or I.

17 Nov

My wifes 2011 Impreza has been rock solid so the quality and resale value are there, unlike VW.

3 Jan

A small divot can occur from a stress crack of from spontaneously cracking.

14 Mar

I can live with the vibrations, noise and poor steering.

21 Feb

Problems dealer has not been able to resolve: Vibration at high speeds inspite of new tires and repeated balance and alignment, Excessive vibration when AC is on, Dashboard rattles, Shutter when turning right.

19 Jan

Truly the only potential knock on the car is the road/wind noise is a little loud

3 Jan

I was driving down the highway and my windshield cracked on the bottom left or drivers side.

9 Nov

The only complaint that I have is that I have is that the car at 24000 is on its 4th windshield with a significantly high tendency to stress cracking windshields.

13 Oct

I'm just hoping that I will not have problems with windshield easily gets cracks bec.

12 Sep

but after Subaru Company denying warranty coverage 22,000 miles, in a broken windshield due to the rear view mirror falling off & taking the windshield with it, I am done with this company.

16 Jul

Other than the expensive windshield cracking prematurely it has been flawless.

14 Mar

My biggest concern is the lack of any quality with the windshield.

3 Jul

I anticipate that this car will be trouble free, and the Subaru guarantee is bumper to bumper including "wear items" (such as windshield wipers, break pads, etc.).

22 Mar

The battery will die for no obvious reason and leave you stranded if you don't carry a jumper.

28 Aug

It has never been back to the dealer, never had an issue unless you count the battery dying just past the 3 years in the high summer heat.

25 Mar

I didn't know I'd done it and the next morning the battery was dead. Really???

19 Jan

At 2 years and 22,000 miles the battery died.

30 Dec

The batteries fail without any particular notice or signs of failure.

22 Dec

This is my 4th Subaru and the first one with excessive key off battery drain.

13 Dec

Original battery died after only 18 months, same as the battery in my Forester.

15 Sep

Battery died after 3 months.

5 Dec

The battery has died several times requiring our AAA friends.

27 Jul

Another issue is that the standard battery (group 25, IIRC) has an anemic 356 CCA.

26 Feb

The navigation is not so good, since where I live the roads do not exist.

19 Jan

Changing the radio station, reading the current time, or using navigation is extremely challenging.

6 Nov

The only issue I have is that the changing the Apps from Audio to Map and others sometimes does not engage with the touch screen, which will be addressed on my next service interval.

31 Oct

Other than this issue which leave you with no navigation, radio, phone or other entertainment features, it is a good car and I would recommend it as long as not having the infotainment system is not an issue for you.

3 Oct

Do NOT buy Subaru Outback with navigation.

31 Jul

The navigation system is useless.

22 Feb

Being nickeled and dimed to death over purchasing update for maps and subscription service to Starlink (which stinks) is just what I need to NEVER BUY A SUBARU AGAIN.

5 Dec

The navigation system is unlearnable and incredibly frustrating while the phone operation is unreliable and not available when ignition is on.

22 Oct

I also do not have navigation and the options that come with it, because it would have added $6000 to the cost.

16 Oct

but thus far they have no solutions for the dysfunctional navigation system.

28 Jun

Multiple annoying failures with this our 4th Subaru and 3rd Outback force us to look for a replacement.

30 Dec

The batteries fail without any particular notice or signs of failure.

24 Nov

The only mechanical issue: Car was recalled to replace a defective coupling on the steering column.

27 Jul

The navigation system and the radio continue to intermittently malfunction.

21 Feb

Don't get me wrong, it has power, just enough to drive and go, not any power the WRX has though.

14 Jun

The only complaint I have is that the Bluetooth is sometimes slow to connect and there is a lot of in cabin noise especially on the freeway.

17 Jun

Mine started intermittently making a howling noise which (of course) the dealer couldn't reproduce.

15 Aug

The hatchback squeaks now and then over bumps.

7 Jun

Little things are starting to rattle here and there inside,

23 Mar

Sometimes the engine may seem a bit noisy

29 Oct

the hatch back is roomy, and our dog was comfy in the back seat ( in the hammock) i researched this car before buying it, and remember people talking about lack of power, noisy engine, and poor stereo.

21 Jun

With the years I've owned and driven the Subaru models there would be NO wind noice in ANY model.

29 Feb

The complaints about noise and performance can really be pinned down to the CVT model.

30 Jan

There is some road noise

13 Jan

I have also heard of issues with the CVT transmission, hoping that does not have issues in the future.

28 Dec

The drawbacks are a limited technology and dated interior, poor gas mileage and stick shift isn't a great deal of fun in city traffic.

11 Jun

Paddle shifting somewhat makes up for the conservatively sized engine (148hp).

25 Aug

but I'd read some reviews that made me question whether I would like the CVT transmission.

4 Jun

Transmission delay when shifting very annoying.

29 Apr

The shifting and handling is not too different than the WRX which is my main amusement in driving.

Over the first two years of mixed driving (mostly short commutes) it returned 26.7 mpg on regular unleaded (better than my 2012 Impreza Sport 2.0 hatch, actually), and it is much quieter and more refined than the WRX.

26 Apr

This is my second Subaru after I tradein my 2015 Subaru Impreza which I felt was a better car in snow and never fishtailed.

1 Dec

The suspension is the hardest I've ever felt in a sedan combined with the low profile tires, and the sedan's low position to the ground, it makes the ride very uncomfrotable going over bumps.

19 Oct

If you're in the market for an AWD sedan, I'd give this car a look.

31 Oct

27 Jun

Ok, bought the car, didn’t like road noise and some of its handling.

19 Apr

You hit the gas and it makes noise and eventually in its own sweet time it would get you there.

9 Feb

Like everything about the car, OTHER than the unpleasant mild vibration felt at the steering wheel coming from the front suspension/engine/wheels.

28 Apr

Road and wind noise are disappointing.

10 Sep

I had a Mercury Milan, I miss my silence in the car (no noise, or wind sounds) I miss my self locking vehicle that would lock itself upon acceleration.

4 Sep

Mild road noise.

9 Mar

but they don't offer any dog friendly accessories (rear seat cover, rear foot well cover) - Wind noise on the highway is a problem.

13 May

Annoying that whenever I plug in my iPhone it wants to play Pandora automatically (I don’t even have a pandora account).

9 Mar

Phone was not always connecting and again dealer stated all car models experience that issue from time to time.

16 Jan

In addition, the BlueTooth function for my phone is unreliable as I cannot use Media play and my phone at the same time and I have to sometimes re-pair my phone to the system.

15 Sep

The only issue so far is the back up camera and Rear Cross Traffic alert takes a few seconds to display, which apparently is common, and the head unit/radio occasionally does weird things like forget how to connect with my phone,

3 Apr

Even driving on dirt roads causes as much bouncing and head toss as a compact sedan, negating the purpose of buying an SUV.

5 Nov

The Bluetooth technology doesn't work and the vehicle is noisy.

26 Sep

As for the driving impressions the CVT is very herky jerky upon acceleration and the little 4 cly made a lot of noise and seemed to have to work very hard to get up to speed.

24 Jul

Now that I have had the car for a year I am not satisfied with the acceleration, and road noise.

The similar design of the Impreza, this hot little car stays in incognito.

12 Jan

The FA20DIT engine is the best engine youll find in an economy sports sedan.

8 Feb

Responsive and not too smooth, so that you feel like you are driving a performance car and not a family sedan.

25 Aug

Basically if you want a practical, reliable?, economical, powerful, affordable, and fun small sedan that can perform in any weather, this is it!

25 Apr

but, hey, it's a sports sedan that Everyone likes!!

15 Jan

My 2016 WRX Limited 6 speed manual 4 banger with turbo is a whole lot fun to drive!

10 Jul

My 2019 wrx is a great car to drive performance is great and the handling is amazing.

8 Jan

but none match the adrenaline inducing sensation provided by the excellent AWD system matched to the torque monster of an engine which can be found on the WRX.

22 Jun

Sorta of a cult car as other WRX drivers wave or flash lights.Very good in snow with all weather tires (not summer tires).

3 Mar

That being said, you have to really know what the WRX family really is, a boatload of fun, great, evolved drivetrain, amazing handling and all of the things that remind you it's a Subie on a daily basis. Hmmm.

14 Feb

It was a good car; after the WRX,

8 Feb

The extra tones coming out of the exhaust make you feel like you are driving a manual WRX.

The road noise people complain about doesn't bug me it is just the transmission issue.

22 Jun

Tons of road and wind noise.

8 Mar

The car is a rough ride and noisy,

3 Mar

less than opulent interior appointments, road noise and of course because I live in New England, potholes, other cars in its class are far more sparing on one's senses.

30 Nov

The Bad: Interior is still cheap with a lot of rattles.

23 May

Wind noise could be much less with improved windshield, side window, aerodynamic designs; road noise in my car due to 'Summer Tires' and 'performance exhaust.

24 Mar

The only small issues I have with the car (which obviously I didn't care enough about because the rest is great) are there's quite a bit of cabin noise (used to a BMW though) and hill start can be annoying to get used to

16 Mar

The only cons I could think of are the rough suspension and the loud road noise,

10 Mar

The interior materials are pretty substandard, it's ride overly harsh (they should save that for the STI), lots of road noise, and perhaps worst of all is the stereo, so you can't even drown out all the annoyances with some good music.

Previoulsly I had an 2008 Impreza WRX and a 2011 Legacy GT Turbo that were great on power

23 Jan

I will call and have to drop it off again for them to look at,, very inconvenient for us as we both work,, this is our 2nd forester and our son is on his 3rd subaru sedan in 5 years.

25 May

The XT has a de-tuned WRX engine and can go like a scalded cat;

1 Aug

make the turbo run on unleaded & get 28 around town & 35-40 on the hwy & give it more power (after all the WRX STi is a manual with a 305 HP turbo).

The ride is somewhat noisy and rigid.

First they were minor like the driver door seems a little loose and sort of rattles when closing, Rear view mirror lost grip and have to be adjusted very carefully etc.

Around the same time, the exhaust started rattling again!

14 Jul

We’ve had a lot of problems with cars not being able to handle winters in this region, and the Impreza is the best car I’ve driven in the winter.

15 Nov

First of all let me begin by saying, I love Subarus, this was the second impreza I've owned, the first being a 98 2.2L hatchback.

20 May

Now that I have my luxurious car I do miss the agility and practicality of my Impreza hatchback.
