18 Nov

The Beetle was a great car, just a bit too small for my practical needs over time.

24 Mar

I traded in my little sports coupe for a more mature ride on my 30th birthday and I think I made the right choice.

10 May

but continuous mechanical and Transmission issues.

20 Dec

I bought it at 60k miles used, transmission went out at 66k (I'm not a crazy driver, just to and from work 5 days a week).

18 Nov

The transmission shifts randomly and will select 6th gear at approximately 10-15 mph causing the engine to "chug" severely.

24 Oct

I would not buy this car knowing about the engine issues and trans issues.

6 Apr

and 2 transmissions) and the Passat was a replacement for the car didnt work- and it broke with less than a thousand miles, I had to end it.

24 Mar

One transmission shift point is a little off to me

22 Mar

My only complaint is that the automatic transmission doesnt know when to shift.

17 Sep

I previously owned a new 2014 Honda Accord sport, I have zero complaints other than the cvt transmission, which I hate in any brand!

7 Sep

It bothers me that it has over-compensated stopping and it's never smooth when shifting gears. As soon as I can, I will be trading for another Jeep."

22 Mar

The only thing about this one is it has a little bit of wind noise from outside mirrors.

24 May

Unacceptable road/cabin noise.

30 Mar

Low entry for tall people, some road surfaces it is noisy for real passengers trying to inter act with front passengers

27 Feb

There is no cabin noise when traveling at 70 mph on the highway.

10 Dec

The only issue is it has more road noise than I expected

3 Jul

but noisy during acceleration.

29 May

When you close the doors or the trunk you get a decent thud and not some noisy clatter.

6 Apr

The upshift from 3 to 4 and the downshift from 5 to 4 are jerky and noisy, unlike the DSG transmission of my two previous Jettas.

4 Oct

The last time I bought a VW, it was a 1968 Beetle and I remember loving that car.

6 Sep

From the fact that the lines from back to front just give it that coupe feel, the frameless windows in the doors, the great seats that allow you to adjust everything, up, down, back and forth, lumbar support and so on.

1 Feb

Wanted a coupe like vehicle and CC fits this bill as well.

30 Nov

I’ve had it for only 20,000 miles and during that period the high AND low pressure fuel pumps failed, the water pump failed, and there’s a rear main seal leak.

22 Mar

I consistently had malfunctions and engine issues over the two years I had this car.

10 Nov

There is speculation that VW put this faulty part into the vehicle because so many people have had that issue.

10 Jul

Also, Bluetooth is very poor, Tire sensors failed within the 1st year.

8 Jan

There is some front suspension squeaking noise that I’ve had for a while,

7 May

I've put over 120k miles on this car myself and have to put on 6 sets of tires due to cupping, not because the tires wore out..simply because the noise was annoying.

25 Jul

but noisy on the highway and the engine RPMs hung at around 3000 doing 70 mph. .

6 Feb

The electrical systems on the car are terrible and a constant headache and expense.

2 Apr

After a while, the fuel system will give up including spark plugs, coil, fuel rail, injectors, fuel pump, etc.

10 Nov

Also, the ambient lighting should light more than just the ring around the speaker and the light in the door-i.e.

14 Oct

so, in addition to the windows you can expect: intermittent shut downs and problems starting up (being locked out by the security system).

1 Sep

16 Jan

Noisy areas include, the headliner (crackles like popcorn), the back hatch (makes a crazy loud noise like it's going to fall off), and the streering column (sounds like electrical shorting is going on).

9 Dec

.at 72,400 miles my transmission is once again slipping just like when it failed at 55k.

9 Dec

but that is not a malfunction of the car - perhaps a design flaw?

18 Jul

After three failed attempts to close it last night after parking outdoors (it stops short of the top seal by .25"), I gave up and went inside, hoping rain wasn't in the forecast.

i got it in 2017. the air conditioning in the car worked just fine for the first few months and then it went out.

20 Jun

The moonroof works begrudingly, the front window defroster takes 15 minutes or more to become effective and too slow to remove condensation.

28 Nov

The air handler seals begin to decay over the years and it will lose its ability to seal the doors and air will blow out of all the vents at the same time.

9 Apr

there were also a few strange noises emanating from the breaks, sort of a buzzing that would come up through the steering column and would go away when the breaks were tapped.

26 May

18 Nov

22 Jun

25 Feb

6 Nov

11 Mar
