It is my first EV and more fun to drive than the 2019 Mustang that I traded in.

Have 1100 miles on my new Mustang Mach E. Got the Premium Long Range AWD version and simply love driving it.

3 Aug

It's nice that the Mach-E reads the android auto Google maps directions on the drivers display.

11 Jun

The new Mach E Premium dual motor all wheel drive provides the most exciting drive since my 1964 327 cu 300 hp 1964 Super Sport.

2 Jun

After nearly a month of driving a loaner car I finally received my mach-e back.

27 May

The only recommendation I could make is to get a 240 outlet so you can charge your Mach-E at a rate of approximately 20+ miles an hour.

12 Mar

First descriptions of the Mach E were very appealing so we reserved our First Edition the first day available (November, 2019) We were told we were the first delivery in our locale, one month ago.

My best car ever was a 1970 Mach I Mustang,

14 Aug

The transmission was the first thing to go.

22 Jan

I couldn't justify the $3k for a transmission with the rear end noise it had and the knock on cold starts.

3 Jan

The 1st transmission just failed, the 2nd transmission had to be replaced because the lower cast of the transmission cracked.

28 Dec

The transmission seems to be the issue with most explorer downfalls.

These vehicles Are know to give you an issue with the transmission around 120,000.

29 Jul

Our transmission started to slip gears and leaking fluid!

Listen for clunks and note any shifting problems.

19 Jan

I replaced the rear end 2x - transmission work 4 times and wheel hubs all the way around twice - just used to take boys to hockey.

Rear axle bearing noise, front wheel bearings bad, broken panel under rear window. It seems my vehicle has all of the problems combined that I've read on this and similar websites.Ford should be ashamed of themselves.

17 Nov

First to go was the rear AC, kept getting a click noise.

6 Jan

AC makes rattleing noise, in the garage twice for check engine light.

30 Dec

The wheel bearing started making noise (50-65mph) and at $1,200 I'm not going to fix it.

18 Jun

The transmission has been rebuilt, wheel bearings replaced, and now the o/d off light is blinking, the service engine light is on and the ABS warning light is on.

25 Mar

I have the infamous rear panel crack, replaced fuel pump, replaced intake manifold, replaced fuel line, had starter problems, rear passenger door does not lock, door ajar light will not stop (WD40 is a temporary fix).

26 Nov

At 79000 miles the 4wd went out, right after that the o/d light would blink the airbag light would stay on and the service engine light came on and wouldn't go off.

31 Jul

As for the cars brains, I had to replace a very expensive security system computer module, as well as the courtesy light system computer.

17 Apr

The wheel bearings, replaced rear struts and springs twice, I've spent a $1,000 dollars and the truck still shakes and dies at stop lights.

8 Mar

Replaced all 4 wheel bearings, door ajar light is on all the time and there is no door open!

6 Jan

AC makes rattleing noise, in the garage twice for check engine light.

4 Oct

Door ajar light on and off since 10K (gave up taking it to dealer after three visits).

12 Aug

I also have the "door ajar" light problem,

I'd never find a vehicle that cheap with that kind of reliability.

Transmission #1 failed at just past the warranty mileage for a $2.5K repair.

26 Mar

It was NOT milled correctly meaning the fluid equals out to not let it shift.. Ford should have redesigned a new trans and recalled all 02,03,04 .

2 Aug

Then appeared a long crack in the hatch rear trim (and no it's not the liftgage that was recalled).

8 Mar

CD player was the 1st thing to fail.

7 Aug

When it was brought for major failure the dealership didn't bother to do any diagnostic work.

7 Jun

If Ford has had so many complaints about the transmission, they should recall it to encourage customer satisfcation and future sales.

5 Feb

Ford knows with this many transmission problems with 2002 and up Explorer they should recall them to keep customers happy.

9 Feb

Rear differential and tranny failed at 60K: $1,300 for the rear diff, $3,600 for the tranny.

27 Oct

I while back I used to have a Mustang GT and the Escape is as much fun to drive plus gives me all the room I needed for a family of 5.

4 Jan

The acceleration of the Escape is 2nd to none, in it class and price range, handles great, great brakes, and I'm getting 21 mpg in the city. The Mach stereo is the best I've ever had from a factory radio.

15 Feb

Tires are a bit noisy.

26 Feb

If noise isn't your thing the 4 cylinder is much more pronounced than the more loaded v6 XLT.

30 Aug

Road noise is a little much, and seats are hard as well.

22 Apr

It is definitely noisy.

16 Mar

My only complaints are road noise and for being smaller, my gas mileage is no better than the Explorer (18- 19mpg).

15 Mar

Hardly any squeaks or rattles.

25 May

Around 80,000 miles, the tranny started to make some strange noises and now at 86,000 miles, it is time to get it looked at.

30 Apr

CONS: Road noise on the highway.

19 Feb

Road noise and small fuel tank is the only down side on road trips.

22 Dec

although it was making a weird transmission noise when we turned it in.

5 Oct

certainly by 'mistake' :) Side note - these have a different engine and transmission than a regular Escape so any reliability issues those may have should not to be associated w/ the 'FEH'. Kudos!

3 Oct

Cons are: transmission failed suddenly at 85K; 3 sets of brake rotors.

4 Dec

Never even checked the transmission fluid.

26 May

5/28/15 had some cable assembly fixed (dealing with the transmission) and now 5/25/16 the O/D light keeps flashing on and off.

29 Aug

I wish I had know that when I bought my 2001 Escape used in 2006 that the transmissions were so bad.

3 Apr

Right now our transmission is going out and I'm very sad.

10 Feb

Auto transmission isn't shot,

3 Dec

2 months later, replaced the o2 sensor, and the transmission just went out.

29 Aug

From the time i got it things were happening, the front end was clunking, back end is severely cracked, transmission is gone, sealant around the doors comes off, doors are impossible to open, and only 2 out of the 6 cylinders work.

17 Jun

3 Oct

Cons are: transmission failed suddenly at 85K; 3 sets of brake rotors.

29 Jul

Not to mention it was recalled three different times as well.

22 Jun

Seems too soon for these types of failures for a SUV that has never been off road and used on the freeway mostly.

19 Jan

Have had the enigine light come on twice and had a anti-freeze light come on from a failed sensor.

20 Jan

The only problem so far was failed DPFE sensor at 19k miles.

3 Dec

Repairs: washer fluid sensor, stereo display, master cylinder, cv boots, cruise control, rear hatch lock, air conditioner.

3 Dec

2 months later, replaced the o2 sensor, and the transmission just went out.

6 Feb

The only things I have had to repair/replace were the brakes at 65k miles, egr sensor, and the coolant sensor, and tires which all together comes to about $1,000.

19 Oct

During that time it broke only once - DPFE sensor stopped working at about 20,000 miles and was fixed on warranty.

19 Jan

Have had the enigine light come on twice and had a anti-freeze light come on from a failed sensor.

20 Jan

The only problem so far was failed DPFE sensor at 19k miles.

23 Jul

Cons: Sunroof slow to open now, set up of shifter, igniton, and windshield wipers is tricky.

7 Jan

The spring broke in the gear shift, so you have to mess with the gear shift when you put in park so you can get the key out.

29 Jul

I also hate the gear shifter being in the way of the radio since I have knocked it into neutral on several occassions while trying to change the station.

3 Sep

Cheap plastic door panels (really hurt elbows), awkward seat height, and shifter location make everyday driving less than pleasurable.

22 Jan

Gear shifter gets in the way of changing the radio.

Only issue I have is the rear wiper motor is stripped out where the arm is inserted into it and the rear window hinges have stripped out at the screws.

11 Oct

No mechanical problems, some minor cosmetic issues and the regular complaints: rear wiper, gas mileage . .

4 Mar

the rear window wiper blade doesn't wipe-it wipes maybe 3 inches of what it should, the gas of course, and just minor things, which have been worked out.

20 Sep

The back wiper has never worked right,

20 Mar

Had problems with the rear wiper, driver door locks, transmission, spark plugs, radio light, knocking sound in the engine and all of it happened in about three months.

12 May

but then the problems started. Normal wear (brakes, wipers, battery, etc.)

29 Dec

All problems include transmission, rear window, rear window washer, tires, ball joint, knocking engine noise (dealer said this was normal!

17 Mar

The rear wiper works intermittently; you have to get the slip yokes lubed ($50) or else it feels like the tranny drops.

15 Dec

Visibility is good except for front right corner, where the windshield bar blocks the view somewhat.

16 Nov

Take it to a reputable transmission shop before you buy it, also I bought this truck for 1750 bucks with 95k miles on it!

6 Sep

Their transmissions issues need to be resolved!

14 Dec

Shifting problem misteriously went away for 1 yr and is now back.

26 Oct

Ready for the list: Valve body in transmission, engine rods, oxygen sensors(2), transfer case, front differential seal, driver's side ball joints 3 times, tie-rods twice, passenger side ball joints once, center console collapsed, rear window leak!

22 Mar

2 transmissions $3200, front end work $2000, now head gasket $1100, coupled with the price of the vehicle I could of bought a Lexus.

11 Feb

The display on the radio goes out sometimes, and there is a weird rattle when it idles sometimes?

9 Dec

Also had some 'mystery rattles' and am experiencing some idling problems.

5 Nov

Other problems: air conditioner rattles, problems with the fuel gauge, accelerator pedal, noises from loose fitting parts.

31 Jul

I still do notice the common problems in it like the radio display on the Mach stereo system going out and the rear wiper only working about 50% of the time,

16 Jul

Little things went wrong like driver's side auto window, electrical issues with factory radio/cd player.

20 Mar

Had problems with the rear wiper, driver door locks, transmission, spark plugs, radio light, knocking sound in the engine and all of it happened in about three months.

17 Jan

The radio runs too hot and you lose the lcds on the radio.

26 Sep

Mechanical - two sets of brakes, a loose antenna wire and a stuck thermostat are it for maintenance.

27 Jul

The radio lights fade on and off at will and the front driver’s side door lock won’t unlock with the remote.

18 Feb

Radio LED display stopped working.

11 Feb

The display on the radio goes out sometimes, and there is a weird rattle when it idles sometimes?

9 Dec

I have had several electrical problems with my truck, including the radio display, the rear wiper motor, the side mirror motor, and the rear glass defroster.

14 Aug

Minor problems: AM Radio reception, antenna cable came loose.

14 Dec

In true FORD fashion nerf bars rusted and literally fell off of the car, EGR rusted through and caused all kinds of problems, bad mass airflow sensor, etc

31 May

It now has 145,000 miles on it and the only thing it needed was the oxygen sensors replaced.

3 Nov

Before I replaced it, it began leaking a bit of oil and the fuel sensor gauge began malfunctioning,

13 Mar

On top of this, my ABS sensor failed, and it doesn't work.

26 Oct

Ready for the list: Valve body in transmission, engine rods, oxygen sensors(2), transfer case, front differential seal, driver's side ball joints 3 times, tie-rods twice, passenger side ball joints once, center console collapsed, rear window leak!

I have had a number of things go wrong (spark plugs, wires, oxygen sensor, IAC valve, transmission acting up).
